From memory, for the original PSP, the stock battery was 1800 mAh, the extended was 2200...the stock Slim battery is 1200...8000 is REALLY hard to believe...

And, if I remember correctly, mAh stands for milliamps and hour.

Ok, it's external, so as long as it's from a reputable company, the capacity is probably what it says...

mAh = milliampere-hour = 3.6 coulombs and is the measure of electricity that can be delivered at a steady current by the battery...

So is the battery 8000mAh (as advertised) or 700mAh (as written in fine print)?

That is odd...700mAh would be less than half the capacity of a standard (original PSP) battery...I think they just incorrectly added "h" to the end and the 700 is the maximum output current (700mA), at the output voltage (5V), and the capacity, unless they're lying, is 8000mAh...

Seems too good to be true for less than $15...I'd be willing to bet the capacity is nowhere near 8000mAh, and although I can't find specifications for the max output current of a standard PSP battery, similar external packs can output 1000mA...

Another problem is that it shows 5V output voltage...the PSP, on battery power, only needs 3.6V...my guess is they upped the voltage to compensate for inadequate output current. Not good for electronics.

All of that is assuming the printing on the thing actually means what it says...sorry for the dissertation, but I don't think I'd trust that thing...

Hi guys, I have that exact same battery bought from hong kong (where I live) please believe me when I tell you it is absolute shit! it cost me 90HKD which is roughly 6 English pounds. it is no where near 8000 mah, they are available all over the place here, and get this, the shop I bought it from also had that same battery but with 12000mah, but it was the same price!

It can charge the slim batt till its full and thats it.
