Having trouble, just because your home doesn't have wireless internet? Then this product is just the thing for you! PLUG AND PLAY! (keep reading) WiFi MAX for PSP couldn't be simpler to use. Just plug your USB WiFi dongle into your internet-enabled PC to create a Wireless Access Point. It supports up to five "local" PSP gamers at a time, so you and your friends can all play online at once. You can transfer your MP3s, images and video files from your computer to your PSP with ease.

I've heard people have some trouble getting these to work. Try at your own risk.

Yeah totally... A wireless router with a built in modem (you can get them for both cable & DSL) would take all the hassle out of it, especially concerning things like DHCP & DNS settings ect. Wireless routers will automatically give you all the settings you need....
I have a netgear Wg602 wireless access point that is plugged into a second ethernet port on my main pc. This PC is also running internet connection sharing so I can use a laptop in range and also my psp to access the internet - So in a way my setup may be quite similar to that wifimax device.... The only thing is, I have to have my PC on to access the internet which is not ideal and also there are security issues - you are connecting 'across' your PC, not directly to the internet using wireless that anyone nearby could receive. |

So does this play ACTUAL online games like Twisted Metal and Syphon Filter: Combat Ops, or just worldlide LAN connections through Xlink Kai. I'll probably just get a router, but I'd like to know if I can save that exta $20 and go see a movie.
