Changing XMB direction

I've done a little searching with no luck..
But I'm not sure what to search for really.

Anyway, I was wondering if it were possible to change the direction the XMB moves.
What I mean is to make your main icons move from top to bottom/bottom to top instead of left to right/right to left.

Sorry if it's been done and I just failed to find it..
If it has can someone point me in the direction of it?
If not would someone be willing to give it a shot?

I've been trying to for about a week and a half now. I don't think it's possible.

Isn't project 4 all about that? changing the xmb completely? or does it still go left to right? I haven't tried it out myself so I wouldn't know.
the closest thing I've found to a different direction XMB is a circular one..

I know what theme you're talking about. It doesn't go in a circle, it's just an illusion. The circle is just one big icon, kinda like the Large original icon. Where it doesn't appear to move but it does.

I know about the Circular XMB, and honestly seen it as a load of crap.
Wasn't even animated. >.<

And I don't want to change the XMB completely..
I just want it to move in the other direction.
Kind of like how some of the older themes that were released appeared to move at a curve, or change the position of the XMB.
I don't remember what .prx it was that did it..
But I want to keep my original icons and be able to maybe even use .ptf themes.
I just want the XMB to move up and down instead of left and right.

I haven't tried that theme out myself, but I thought it looked pretty cool from the preview.
anyways, wouldn't changing the direction of the XMB be a very hard task?
