I'm surprised that a list like this hasn't been posted yet, or it's somewhere I don't know about.. This list is basically a compilation of programs that may prove useful towards us everyday computer users. Most of the programs and the list is orientated towards Windows users, but there's a couple downloads for Linux, and Mac users.. :)

CCleaner Cleans away tracks that your computer leaves behind. Useful when Windows Washer dies.

Windows Washer Just like CCleaner, it cleans away your tracks. This program call also wipe out your WHOLE Hard drive if you plan on selling.

DisKeeper - This program is an excellent alternative to the Window's default defrag program. Choose Diskeeper 2007 Pro.

O & O Defrag - Another excellent defragger.

Registry MechanicWhen it comes down to cleaning your registry, Registry Mechanic is here to do the job.

Alcohol 120% - This program creates a virtual drive on your computer where you could access files stored as a image file.

UltraISO - This program creates CD Image files so it could be read by programs meant to do so. You could backup files and burn them to CD files.

WindowsBlinds - This program places themes of different designs and varieties. Slap on a fake Vista theme if you wanted.

Other Stardock Programs - Object Desktop and Stardock makes some nice visual customization programs. Change your boot screen, log-in screens among others with each respective program.

Adobe Photoshop - Photoshop is a top-notch editing program.. The best of its league. If you are using Paint, or PSP, get out, and get this beauty.

GIMP - The free alternative to Photoshop.

Filezilla - FTP made easy.

WinRAR - For everyone who can't afford Winzip and want the lazy way out to things. Better than Winzip since you have the ability to create both .zip and .rar archives. Both can be compressed easily. Also, drag and drop extracting.
http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm - Scroll down to English and click on it.

FoxIt Reader - A super-fast alternative to Adobe Acrobat PDF reader. Loads in seconds. This was originally intended as a extension, but it is actually a separate interface outside Firefox. FoxIt Reader

Windows Blinds - Changes the theme of your computer. Place a fake Vista look on Xp if you want to.
WindowBlinds

SpyBot Search and Destroy - A free and efficient spyware scanner.

Avast! Home Edition - A free antivirus scanner that does a great job.. It should be a first choice for home users.

Trillian An instant messenger that combines AIM, MSN, Yahoo!, and ICQ in one program.. and IRC. The payware pro version comes with more instant messenger extensions, and more features.

Ad-Aware A free useful adware / spyware scanner.

Windows Defender Formerly know as Microsoft Anti-Spyware, it has left the beta version and its another useful scanner of spyware and the sort.

IfranView IfranView is an image viewer, resizer, and other things to quickly edit a photo.

ScreenGrab This standalone program (Not the extension for FF) is a nifty program that takes screenshots of the whole screen or active window, at the hands of a combo of keys. Click here to get the FF Extension

CPU-Z An easy way to see the specs of your computer..

X-Fire Another IM Client, this one is based towards video games.. You can chat with other Xfire users, join supported game sessions, and see which user is playing which game..

TweakVI - TweakUI for Vista..

Mozilla Firefox - In case you twits haven't got it yet. Pwns IE in almost every way.

AusLogics Disk Defrag - Finally, a nice "pocket-sized" defragger. Works fast and efficient. First time my defragmention went from 0.98 to 0 percent. (Like it's something bragging about). Best of all, it's free! :D

iDefrag - Yes, iDefrag is a defragger for Mac OSX systems. Google it as I'm not sure whether its free or not.

AVG Anti-virus - So, who has the number one spot on the freeware anti-virus list? AVG does. Available in free and payware versions.

WinAmp - And this is called WinAmp. A good alternative to Windows Media Player, and a good player for those who live in the EU.

Pandora GUI - Easily create a Pandora Magic Stick and JiKick Battery with this program. Small but effective. You will need XP to work the Formatting, and IPL writing steps of Pandora creation. If you aren't on it, resort to Hellcat's Pandora Installer for 3xx kernels

Yet Another CSO Compressor - This program allows you to compress, and uncompress ISOs/CSOs/DAXs. I say it's better than UMDGEN when it comes to a compression rate. Works faster.. :D

Peer Guardian - PeerGuardian 2 is Phoenix Labs’ premier IP blocker for Windows. PeerGuardian 2 integrates support for multiple lists, list editing, automatic updates, and blocking all of IPv4 (TCP, UDP, ICMP, etc), making it the safest and easiest way to protect your privacy on P2P.

Nope, they're just trials. You can only download if you have the software purchased already. (I'm guessing that you get a username and password after installation) And I added Xfire and a couple of programs twice because I had to recompile the list after I didn't use the editing feature on another forum correctly. Thanks for the heads-up, it's fixed now...

Thanks for the comments, and the sticky.. :)
