Things are a bit buggy; FuSa is beta software. See the README for known bugs and other info.

Music PRX for CFW 3.90 M33

Posted by greg

For some reason or other Sony has yet to incorporate a simple means of playing your own tunes while in game — both on the PSP and PS3. But, thanks to the Homebrew Gods, this is possible after all — on 3.90+!

Cpasjuste has recently ported the Music PRX plugin to custom firmware 3.90 M33. Enjoy your own mp3s and atrac3 files straight from your memory stick’s MUSIC directory. Cpasjuste also notes, “this has been tested on a 3.90 M33-3 slim PSP, WITHOUT the fatmsmod patch applied.”

If you’re running an older custom firmware, use this version.

CWCHEAT 0.2.2 REV. B Released

Posted by greg

Update: If CWCHEAT keeps crashing, please re-download the archive. Weltall has reverted an optimization which seems to fix the problem.

Weltall with probably one of the smallest CWCHEAT changelogs I’ve ever witnessed… But that proves your girlfriend was right — big/good things do come in small packages. The big thing, aside from the classic set of bug fixes and optimizations — Weltall now has RemaPSP fully working under POPS emulation. So for the person who was asking in our forums or comments awhile back, wherever it was, RemaPSP supports turbo/rapid-fire and macros — now under POPS — that’s what you need.

And for those who don’t know what CWCHEAT or RemaPSP is: CWCHEAT enables endless cheating of any PSP/PSOne game, it works similar to the “Game Genie” for Nintendo, plus much more; RemaPSP allows remapping of PSP buttons and controls.

CWCHEAT 0.2.2 REV. B changes:

  • [ALL] fixed a bug in RemaPSP about buffernegative functions which returned invalid values being returned.
  • [POPS] Now REMAPSP works perfectly in POPS
  • [ALL] Various optimizations in the remaPSP initialization code which reduced the size of more than 200 bytes
  • [ALL] Some optimizations in the memory edit/disasm functions which reduced the size of more than 32 bytes
  • [ALL] Added a check against tries to open a non existent text file with the text reader
  • [ALL] Various size optimizations in the cheat search functions which reduced the size of more than 232bytes
  • [ALL] Now it’s possible to define a key combination to access directly the text reader from in-game. You can define the buttons by adding them to the “TEXTREAD BTN = ” entry in the configuration file.
  • [ALL] Optimized the functions checking for key combinations. This reduced the size of more than 818bytes

CWCHEAT 0.2.2 REV. A Released

Posted by greg

Weltall with CWCHEAT 0.2.2 Revision “A” — for Awesome!

Some God of War cheats…

– infinite double jumps by dc4
0×6033614C 0×00000001
0×00020002 0×000002C8
0×30000060 0×00000000

– infinite health proper by vosman
0×60346B00 0×42C80000
0×00020003 0×00000064
0×200000A8 0×20000068

CWCHEAT 0.2.2 REV. A:

  • [ALL] fixed a bug in the difference search which could lead to an evaluation error making the difference function unusable in the case that the game allocates more than entire user ram - 50kbs
  • [ALL] Removed allocation of user ram for the difference search. This should increase compatibility with never games and reduced the plugin size of about 200bytes.
  • [ALL] Various optimizations in the controller management in the menus, additionally some menus now auto repeat just like most. This allowed to reduce the size of the plugin of 632bytes
  • [GAME] Added multilevel pointer codes. This will allow you to track a point in ram by going trough a series of pointer like those seen in god of war. this is the code type:
    • 0×6aaaaaaa 0xvvvvvvvv
    • 0xqqqxnnnn 0xiiiiiiii
    • 0xSwwwwwww 0xSwwwwwww
    • a = the starting pointer
    • v = the value to store at the found point at the end
    • q = the offset to add to a each loop(x4) most probably you want this to be zero in this case
    • x = pointer type (check the normal pointers)
    • i = offset to add/subtract (depending to x) from the last pointed area in the pointed chains to find were to put v
    • n = number of times to point (you must start counting from one, so if the level of pointer you want to do is 2 you put here 2 if it’s 3 you put 3, the first pointer is considered first level, so if you put two offsets in the third line the value you need is 3)
    • S = offset type to find next pointer (2 for normal offset(+w), 3 for inverse offset(-w))
    • w = offset from the last pointed area to find the next pointer
  • [GAME] some performance optimizations to avoid unnecessary repeated loops and assignments in the pointer codes
  • [ALL] reworked, yes again, the db downloader now the 3.x version is libhttp based so it should work better. Plus various enhancements were added and some additional checks and functions. No changes for the 1.x version.
  • [ALL] removed some repeated code this reduced the size of the plugin of 916bytes
  • [ALL] now last text file opened is reopened when you go to the text reader

CWCHEAT 0.2.2 Released

Posted by greg

Weltall delivers another hefty bunch of changes for CWCHEAT. Tagged as version 0.2.2, CWCHEAT not only offers the ability to cheat each and every PSP / PSOne-emulated title, you may also search for and create your own cheats. Aiding in the cheat discovery/creation process, Weltall has bundled a new GTK-built interface for Windows and Linux — “CWCHEAT Pointer searcher.”

Further notable changes — the DB download tool has been refined and ported to the 3.x kernel. As well, if Dark_AleX’s msfatmod patch for 3.8x/3.9x M33 was installed, the memory stick information is again available; however, that remains disabled for those who haven’t installed the patch.

Please read over the included documentation to get started.

Props Weltall, great work.

Custom Firmware Extender v2.2 Released *Updated*

Posted by greg

Update: 2.2 is out…

  • The Time Machine reboot function should now be fixed … stupid error I made. Note that the functions only made for use with NAND firmware and 150_340 one, with the TM files provided in this archive. If you want to use it with another firmware than 150_340, you will have to edit your firmware files manually to add the cfe_vsh.prx and cfe_game.prx plugins (TM/fw/pspbtcnf.txt and TM/fw/pspbtcnf_game.txt).
  • Fixed some little bugs in the music player, and found the reason why it was not working for all the people. If the psp hang while loading the music menu, you should apply the dark_alex 3.71 fatmsmod.prx patch, it should fix all the problem’s.

Cpasjuste has again updated Custom Firmware Extender. Most notably — courtesy of joek2100 — CFE v2.1 adds in game access to your MP3s. Now enjoy your own tracks while doing whatever else on your PSP.

CFE v2.1 changes:

  • Added music playback based on music.prx by joek2100. (only tested under 3.90fw), default combo button for the music menu is NOTE+SQUARE.
  • Changed the way we reboot from one firmware to another firmware with Time Machine, the original configuration file is now backup and restored at each boot.

Custom Firmware Extender v2.0

Posted by greg

Still rockin’ Custom Firmware Extender (CFE) 1.9.2? If so, it’s time to update… Cpasjuste has released CFE version 2.0, adding support for Dark_AleX’s latest work — both custom firmware 3.90 M33 and TimeMachine.

As the name implies, “Custom Firmware Extender” is a collection of useful 3rd party plugins, which in effect extend the functionality of whatever custom firmware you may be running. Full feature set can be read on the download landing page.

CFE v2.0 changes: (from the README)

  • Removed usb/wifi ISO streaming for multiples reason, principally it was not the goal of cfe at the beginning. There is now “USB ISO Loader” by psp.padawan that will do the job well. You should soon be able to grab it from http://www.mydedibox.fr/~psppadawan/
  • 390m33-2 and 150_340TM custom firmware now supported (cfe should now work on any firmware), note that on the 150_340 time machine firmware, the ftpd server will not work, and remotejoy under ISO/HOMEBREWS won’t work too for now. All other functions should work well.
  • Time Machine compatibility: You can now reboot “on the fly” from one time machine firmware to another, just edit the cfe.config file under “ms0:/seplugins/cfe/” to choose which firmware you will reboot to by pressing a combo button. Format is the same as the original time machine configuration file. Default configuration is NOTE+LEFT => reboot to 150_340 firmware, NOTE+RIGHT => normal reboot (NAND).
  • Remotejoy fixed to work on both slim and phat psp, without savegame bugs, so it should now be completely usable for gaming and recording.
  • Tested on 390m33-2 and 150_340TM firmware on SLIM and PHAT psp.
  • And more, can’t remember all the work i have done on this

LED Control v0.2 Released

Posted by greg

Due to a button configuration conflict with other 3rd party plugins, and that resulting in several requests asking to correct the problem, brk3 has issued a new version of LED Control. All that’s changed is the button combination; now press LEFT Trigger + Volume Down to toggle the PSP LEDs — wifi, power, and memory stick.

FAQ (before you ask)

Q: This already exists in IRShell!?
A: Yes IRShell is the reason I programmed this, as (if you read above!) I liked this functionality. When 3.90M33 was released IRShell wasn’t compatible, so I missed this feature. IRShell has since being hacked to run on 3.90M33 but it is still nice to have this functionality in the normal XMB.

Q: Can you change the LED’s to <insert color>?
A: No.

Q: Can you make it compatible with <insert firmware>?
A: It should be compatible with all custom firmwares. If you are certain you are not making some stupid mistake, please email me you’re current configuration and I’ll do my best to see what the problem is.

CWCHEAT 0.2.1 REV. A Released

Posted by greg

Weltall has released the next iteration of CWCHEAT 0.2.1. Revision A incorporates individual IDs for homebrew to help catalog and keep your homebrew cheats clean. The ID is made through hashing the launched EBOOT from the game menu — that will be in HBxxxxxxxx format. Also introduced are four new test code types which use address comparison in place of comparing a fixed value with the other value at a particular address. Bug fixes and optimizations to the CPU clock functions, text reader, and select cheat menu functions have been made too. The full changelog is available below…

And if you’re a newcomer…

Cheat all your favourite PSP and PSX games directly by discovering your own, or using known Action Replay, Game Shark, CAETLA, and Xploder codes. Installation, along with instructions to use memory card and USB support, are detailed in text files included with the RAR archive.
