Wagic the Homebrew 0.11.1 Released
greg | March 14, 2010
It’s Wololo with another Wagic release: Wagic the Homebrew 0.11.1. Bundled into a 21MB zip archive is damn near 9400 cards of Magic-the-Gathering-type goodness. The video albeit is a bit dated; but still, it showcases the awesomeness that is Wagic the Homebrew. Just imagine more cards and UI changes.
Wagic the Hombrew 0.11.1:
- More than 4000 new cards, of which 700 are unique. Wagic now has around 9400 cards (more than 4700 unique). Thanks to the card coders, especially Dr. Solomat!
- New cards database system, which allows to code more cards faster and reduce the number of duplicate bugs (thanks Psyringe)
- Filter system in the Shop and in the Deck Editor allow you to efficiently buy new cards and search your collection (thanks Jeck)
- Key bindings to customize your keys (thanks Jean)
- Simplified translation mechanism for cards
- Shop improvements (Mixed boosters, price changes, improved booster flexibility)
- New parser keywords: cantBeBlockedBy, power/toughness qualifiers for targets
- New tasks in the tasks menu
- Internal changes to fix compilation issues on linux 64bits and Mac. Wagic should now compile for these platforms with little work
- Added support for HQ pictures on PC platforms

Linked video is for an older version (0.9.1). Might want to fix that, just to show off the new-er features.
Is this Magic the Gathering? I haven/t played this game for a looong time. since i was six. is it any good?
Heh, it’s sure is erm… based around that. For legal reason, it’s not. See: for all intensive purposes: yes.
Epic homebrew. Have to do a bit of leg work to provide all the images for it, but just hop on over to wololo’s forums and poke around the forums and viola.
Thank you wololo for another GREAT update. Filter system is epic and makes building new decks vastly easier. Love it!
EmuMaster updated greg. Check pspgen.
Yeah, saw that the other day on qj… Updated the download then: http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/1898. Nothing major new looking at the change log. And some stupid FF theme.
Haha. Yeah I saw that.
This is one of the more epic homebrews. :D
Question: Is there a complete Image Set available for this new version, or is that something that may happen in the future?
0.9.2 had a Complete Image Set available in a single 250mb+ download, which was very nice.
If they haven’t had the time to update the Complete Image Set to 0.11.1 yet, I’ll probably stay with 0.9.2. Half the fun for me personally is seeing the card artwork. :)

DKnight2066: you realize you can copy the zip files containing the pictures from 0.9.2 to 0.11.1, right ? They change the engine at every new release, but not the card pictures, obviously…
@jorg – Yeah, I figured that’s how it went, but I didn’t want to ASSume and then mess up my Wagic install.

With each update, Wololo adds more card sets. The image set from 0.9.2 would have maybe half of the cards 0.11.1 currently has.
Also, if you look through the forums, you can find custom themes which you just throw into the Res\Themes directory, then adjust through Wagic’s options.
@My-Previous-Question: Nevermind. Just found Abrasax’s updated 0.11.1 forum post with PsP image versions.

Side-Note: Damn that old-school Sonic the Hedgehog, zippin across my TV screen! Made my eyes so bad that it seems I couldn’t find a simple forum post. lol

does someone know how to make max credits on this game without dueling?
You know how the card has description and effects. I was wondering….
Is it possible to make the pictures show on the card when playing Wagic on the psp?
