OpenBOR Mod: Phantasy Star II+IV Demo
greg | February 24, 2010
NickyP in the place to be with an all-new OpenBOR mod. You know his work — MegaMan: The Power War, Maplevania, and there may be others we’ve missed. Anyway, we’re covering this one: Phantasy Star II+IV. It’s a demo.
Phantasy Star II+IV isn’t your traditional side-scrolling beat ‘em up game. The Phantasy Star sprites are a cross between 3rd and 1st person, which introduced a challenge when using the OpenBOR engine. Nevertheless — NickyP pulled it off and the end result is pretty awesome. I was never a fan of Phantasy Star turn-based combat, but this real-time action puts a whole new perspective on things. I recommend you check it out.
OpenBOR for Windows and PSP are included. Extract the archive and copy the “PS2n4(demo).PAK” file to the appropriate “Paks” directory. Enjoy!

This is pretty cool homebrew. Never seen one like it.
Although its hard to get into though. Classical gamers would love it.
7/10 but only because its a demo.
I hope the final version is going to be beastt. :)
Good luck, NickyP. ;]
YOU KNOW WHAT THEY SAY…..ALL TOASTERS TOAST TOAST!!
Bored. Not interesting.
Good game. Thanks..
