Game Music Gear MX v1.4 Released
greg | February 24, 2010
Inspired by the awesomeness that is Winamp and XMMS is gama’s Game Music Gear MX. This particular audio player supports just about every format imaginable. It also incorporates an input/output plugin system giving you the ability to add (or remove) and convert audio formats. The visualizer support is pretty dope too. Check README—it covers everything you need to know.

Considering we’re Game Music Gear virgins, we’ll showcase the complete feature list instead of the 1.4 changes.
Game Music Gear MX Features:
- GMG_MX uses a new plugin system. There are three types of plugins. Input Plugins for audio decoding (like mp3 plugin, spc plugin, etc), Output Plugins to encode audio to another format, and the Visual Plugins for music visualization, lyrics display, etc. Very similar to the Winamp plugins. Each plugin consist of a config file (.plugin) and a module file (.prx). And can be replaced or removed if you want to upgrade or disable a plugin.
- Custom Skin Support – Please read the skins.README and see the skins found in the skins folder if you want to make a new one.
- Mini Visualizer – There are two mini visualizers available, spectrum and wave, inspired by the ones found in winamp.
- Chinnese GBK, BMP, TrueType and pgf font support, with LATIN and UTF8 support.
- Zip, Rar, 7zip and gzip files support through the File_Extractor library by Shay Green. Rar and 7zip support is only available on the PSP Slim due to memory requirements.
- In game configuration screen.
- Control keys configuration – You can configure it through the config menu, or you can do it manually editing the ‘keys’ file.
- Three levels of audio output amplification, configured in each plugin config file. Since version 1.3 this levels are fixed to +3, +6 and +9 dB.
- Built in 10 Band Real Time Equalizer with presets support.

Interesting.
Nice, love this thing.
This is really cool. Although IRShell can do all these. But this is a cool app for music.
Great Job, gama.
Thank to the developers! I use this all the time to play FLAC on my PSP.
wow an update?

One of my favourite apps for the PSP!
This looks really amazing. I definitely need to try it out.
this looks tight. And it has a mp3 converter!!! ive been looking for one online that doesn’t have spyware, and I think I found it!! lol
Awesomse to see an update for this. :D
very nice app
This would go great with that new app that makes your speakers 30% louder…now if they had that option built in…WOW.
They do, hold X down and moved analog up it boosts volume.
I believe it is hold X and analog up but check the readme for the controls.
This must be the best app for music than any other music apps!

wow, itunes for the psp!
kudo’s to the guys who made this …. if they could only make an avi player
Oh but there is an avi player. I believe it’s called PSPlayer but I could be wrong. there is also one that plays mpeg.
Great app. Very unique in many of its own ways , so far no bugs found. I like the E.Q. controls above all. Hope to see more of this app in the comming future, ty very much .
i can’t seem to get the lyrics to work.. i’ve put the txt and/or lrc files in the same folder as my mp3s. but still nothing
anybody got the same problem?
It says “game could not be loaded”. I have cfw gen-final
I wish that someone could make a homebrew with perfetc filesupport! I meen.. I guess this doesnt support files like AVI,MIDI, Mpeg, GIF, JPEG, FLW, FLAC (maby it does Flac), mov, and so on. I would be pretty grand if they integrated support for thease file types two! Id like to haveone great homebrew for all my media files.
Not 10 different
Then you could try coding your own player that supports all those formats and then sharing it with us?
i’ve downloaded it and i found out that this is a 1.3 version not a 1.4
i like this software , but any know if there any way to work game boy advance sonng´s?? (GBF) thank you n.n
