Another PSP Save Game Exploit? It’s Likely

This one, I cannot personally confirm whether it’s legit or not… But by the looks of it — it is. Take a look at this thread started by Flyer. There’s also a thread at lan.st detailing the same. Different game? Could be.
By the way: pspjoke’s exploit, the game title… Guess again. And just so you know, pspjoke has been sending regular SDK updates. Some great progress has been made on fully exploiting this save.

hell yea !!!!!! i just got psp go & its pretty kool i must say. hopefully cfw may eventually be available for go users couse theres cfw already on every other psp
i also have made some major changes to the SDK which will:
1. speed up the development immensely
2. make it about as organized as the ps2dev SDK so devs will have an easier time with is.

I find it real funny that the game is sold out around here after pspjokes exploit was first posted…well if i needed the exploit that badly i could just drive an extra 10-15 mins 2 get a copy in the next town over

For me this site has been the best there is since I got my first PSP with OFW 3.1.
And concerning the game:
1. If it is the game that was mentioned, it’s definately stupid to leak the name.
2. If it’s not, it’s even worse since sony might pull it for no reason!
And why would any development be posted? That’s almost like callin sony and telling them where the holes are!
If people would use some common sence, and have just a bit of patiance and respect, no censoring would be necessary!
So (and this counts for any1!!!) If u aint got anythin positive, helping, or news 2 say, just STFU!

To answer your question, i know i am not in the hacking community, nevertheless i am an avid member of hacking forums noy only for the psp, but many others. I contribute my ideas and i would say thats the least i can do, while not being a developer. I for one am not blessed with the proficency of making homebrew, rather i give to the community in my own way. Simply put i am glad i can provide this bare-minimum, when others can say they cant. Atleast utlilize some manners. No need to use vulgar madame.
To Greg.. well ihaven’t looked back at the first post you did on pspjokes exploit until now, since the comments entered the 160 mark. I found that some comments which contained that game names were removed when others weren’t..i see no point in such censorship. indeed from looking at the comments know the Game name was wrong however there shouldn’t have been a need to say..(EXAMPLE) under PSN’s post “-REMOVED-”

Also gy junior, i have for quite a while been coming to this site for information on where the hacking community is going and new developments, even though i am currently an offical firmware user..(6.10)..however this shows my sense of integrity to check on the community and look forward to posts. I check everyday for new developments..aswell as other sites however i know that the scene is lacking..i just feel GREG should provide atleast a post a day..or even in the span of two days..i know usually there isnt much credible news but still. Finding out about something earlier is ovbiously btter then knowing later on wouldnt you agree. I only felt the need to comment because i thought it was constructive critisim. However i know my comment was bias.. i looked at the few comment lef tover and now know my opinion was indeed bias but i still feel it holds true. However releasing the game name. was in assuption that it was MGO..however know that i know the it isnt the game.. i feel that th ename shouldnt be released. However, greg even posting a simple minute piece of information that is vague yet accurate on the exploit would have gotten manny people through the waiting. You could have even addressed the game name dillema. Thousands spent money on a game that isn’t exploitable.Atleast give us a heads up please.

Nice 2 see that some people have the guts 2 admit that they are wrong! That said…
I’m quite certain greg has his own life and maybe wants 2 go skiing or be with a girl 4 a few days. Look a the lack of banners, popups, and other commercials. The few there are I guess are just enough to keep servercosts covered. So please understand, he is doing us a huge favor by maintaining the site and it’s not obligatory for him 2 post every day.
Now to the game: We don’t want sony to get any hints in any direction, that’s why no game is being confirmed or negated. If people are stupid enough to spend money on a game because they read in some vague comment that “this is the game” then let them do it! That is definately not an argument to release the game name.
Thirdly: I agree with u that vulgar comments have no place on PSP-hacks, and I want to say, that I like ur second comment much more (better wording, more humble) then ur first one! It’s not allways about what u say, but often about how u say it as well. :)

Hmph a newbie who has only made about 8 posts finds an exploit? Extremely interesting..Maybe tomorrow i’ll invent a new CFW.
All i know is that the lastest craze is making up bullshet videos on exploits or videos showcasing “hello worlds” on firmware 6.20..This craze that is undoubtedly getting intenser is a chain effect for the mass of the pirating communtity to get their name out there or simply ravage the hacking community with their hopeless and axiety filled bullshet videos. Simply put from this craze that i am witnessing i can’t believe any newbie out their in the scene..Someone who is reputable ye ok..but an individual who has just recently joined the forum.. No way.
Who knows i might be the next one to fnd an exploit when in reality, i being the genious and I’am..[opens GOOGLE IMAGES]..
I wont believe in pspjoke’s exploit or any other bs until i get some information that i can try out that says to me its concrete..i am not going to take someone elses word for it..

You do realize there IS a difference between an obvious faking 13 year old with a video knockoff of past exploits and someone that actually sent some of their work to be confirmed by reputable members of the scene, right?

well to summarize i was simply talking about the inreasing intensity of exploits and fake hellow world videos out there in the community, this has all prepuated from a sinle video which has driven many to the same lengths..to confuse the mass and the public on the epxloitablity of firmware 6.20
As is had stated above..publsing an exploit from someone who is credible/trustworthy permits a sense of logic, in the fact that they are telling the truth..it is even more believable as pspjoke had done..to send his exploit to the mass of trusted developers.
However an individual who has simply made maybe 10 post at the most and is new to the scene..and whose credibility is low..i would be highyl surprised if his exploit is real.
I am simpyl comparing the effect of the media of hellow worlds videos to the credibilty of devleopers and indivudals who say they have found a hole in the OF 6.20

The longer they keep the game title under wraps, the more likely they will be to understand how it works in the first place and be able to recreate the exploit without the need to download the game. We don’t want the game to be patched before they have time to test this thing out, right?
Just seems like common sense to me.
any1 has any idea why I can’t turn on my PSP after downloading any demo from PSN and then leaving it to turn of automatically? Green light goes on, but the PSP doesn’t resume but instead switches off, and if I turn it back on again it boots.

Umm well, i suspect your on offical firmware right? Not sure though, since you have PSN access. Hm,seems interesting..so when you go into sleep mode. and decide to turn your psp back on, instead it switches off and you have to reboot. hm did you have custom firmware installed before?..or rather it might bne your memory card, i know that happened with me a few times. got extremely worried, such cards and psp worked fine, atleast my old 1000 =] Hmm.. or if you experience frequent power losses, which happened to me with my 1000, leading to its eventual passing away =[.., i wouldnt be quite sure on what to do. Often my1000 would freeze and then i would have to hard-reset.

i know that happened with me a few times. got extremely worried, used another memory cards and psp worked fine, atleast my old 1000 =] *
Waitttt…Whoops, when you said PSP..if you meant PSP GO, then the best possible solution without getting too worried would be to send it in for repairs..And if you want to i would hurry..sent my 2001 in for some repairs.. they updated to the latest Official firmware..Send it as quickly as possible, alteast before SOny releases an update on their firmware.

But it is a completely new PSP Go with OFW 6.20. That’s why I wondering why this happens. Some bug I think. And no MS is inserted. And it only happens when I leave it 2 go to sleepmode after DLing something from PSN!
Back when I had my first PSP with CFW it used 2 freeze all the time. But now I got a GO wit OFW and still it freezes! Weird!

game saves with dlc are a cat and mouse. even guessing the title may lead sony to pull it. no matter the state this gets released in the windows for go owners will be short. the game will get pulled in a matter of hrs and a new firmware will be released. i just hopes this leads to a new cfw.

What I mean is that, who is to say that a japanese game would be non-exploitable? This isn’t a guess by the way, this is simple a “thought” which I have had.
What I mean is that, who knows, maybe Sony messed up a Jap game on PSN. Forgot about the mess, or missed it. Fixed it, unknowingly or knowingly, on the American/European PSN. Or the other way around.

is good that they found some exploits but what surely is on many of you from here, is how long is it gonna take to release o method of hacking the psp with firmware 6.00 and up , without off course the need of a Pandora battery ,just like it is possible now with older firmwares… that’s what users want to know, if it’s gonna take half a year or a full year… And off course, i didn’t quite understood why was the 6.00 and above versions hard to hack, and takes so long to accomplished that….
just wondering what exactly do these exploit make possible? is custom firmware or what? any help enlightening myself would be appreciated. also just wanted to say there,s only one original dark alex and he,s gone. or is he?
For now, no… the hack firstly just allows unsigned code to run, which could (enphasis on “could”) be used to gain User level access, which then again would mean, that u could execute homebrew through some sort of homebrewanabler (HEN).
The next step would be then 2 gain kernel level access, meaning that u’d have hacked the security completely. Then a CFW firmware needs to be generated (which is actually the smaller part) and a way found 2 flash the internal memory of the PSP.
[If I missed out something pls feel free 2 correct me]

And for those askin how long it would take, take a 1000 peace puzzle and start solving it while it is turned upside down, only looking @ 1 peace @ the time, and then turning it back around again.

They pulled BOTH Dragon Ball games, I am guessing that these two were the ones used for the exploits. Hope the devs had lots of “time” to work on the exploit (when they already had the game) while sacrificing all Go owners the chance to use the eventual exploit by keeping it secret. You think that Sony wouldn’t figure out what game it was just because you were keeping the name on the hush? I guess work stops here because it is pulled… oh, no it doesn’t? You mean the devs can continue to work on it even after it is pulled?! But I thought that it would “halt develpment” no it only halts Go owners the chance, meanwhile spreading disinfo to fool people into buying the wrong title, what a bunch of morons, you can code but that doesn’t make you smart, otherwise you would have seen the solution here is not to withhold the name until sony pulls the title.

I think everyone should just realise what is being done, HACKING of a system that doesnt like to connect to a PC to be modified. GEN Team, Dark_Alex and all others who have cracked and hacked Sony firmware, you are amazing developers! Custom Firmware is becoming harder and harder to run on new PSP Models and people should learn to wait for the dev teams to crack it, instead of bitching about it.
btw GEN team may be working on 6.XX Firmware anyway, and I can guarantee that 6.20 WILL be someday hacked so get used to waiting
