PSP Custom Firmware Enabler v3.70 Released

Here’s something for all you PSP-3000 and 2000 (TA-088v3) owners this holiday season… Wrapped in a zip signed Xenogears with love — PSP Custom Firmware Enabler v3.70.
Lets just hope you haven’t upgraded your PSP past 5.03 yet; CFWE requires ChickHEN R2 (or MHUSpeed) and Sony’s official 5.03 firmware. For the moment there is no possible way to downgrade.
Xenogears also hints that interesting developments are ahead…

This doesn’t even work with untouched 5.50+ ISO games. If you want to use CFWe 3.70 and play new games, better download ISO’s tested on m33-6 Firmware.
The only reason to use this CFW is because of the MS Speedup.
For now I’ll stick with GEN-C because it supports playing encrypted games out of the box.
Once again a step in the right direction. Give props where props are due! If it wasn’t for guys like you we wouldn’t even have cfw on 3k’s. Brilliant work Xenogears.

You definitely have to give them credit for anything that they release but this doesn’t advance the use of PSPs at all. Team GEN releases at least add new functionality to the PSPs they are installed on. This to me seems like a step backwards for anyone that already has GEN-C installed. Maybe when the so called interesting developments that are hinted at are released I will have more of a reason to install this. Anyways keep up the good work Xenogears & Becus25.
It’s less buggy than GEN-C. How’s that for a reason?
And since there’s no fatmsmod patch for GEN-C (and since the “integrated” feature doesn’t work, by the way)… It means MHU is better. They did use 5.00 M33-6 modules so it’s like a 5.00 M33-6 for 88v3/3k.
5.00 M33 CFW is really outdated, it has to be patched for every single new game and people are still keen on saying it’s the best and how Dark_Alex is the best.
I used to believe Dark_Alex really excelled in the PSP Homebrew community, however, he quited. End of. You should be grateful and accept the fact that the GEN team are currently standing at the top of the CFW teams.
5.00 M33 was excellent, until the 5.03+ GEN releases were out.

wow..another release from MHU..i luv this.Even it cant play new games i still prefer to use this Cfwe than Gen Cfwe coz it has memorystick speedup.
well, cannot play new untouch iso that require higher firmware?whats the big deal.i can decrypt,patch,rip or download patched games from sites myself.

Interesting. Have you tried the patched version ? The one with [FIX] in the title. The one that works on 5.00 M33 (and even on 4.01).
does it stay hacked after a full reboot or does it return to the original firmware?
any1 knows how to uninstal this cfw? i have instaled it and now don’t know how to uninstal it :/
Just use an older version of CFWE and choose uninstall

I think he means like 3.40, not like 3.60
You can simple use Eboot Exchange 2.8 to patch new ISO games right on PSP.
Problem is that with CFWEnabler 3.70 & game categories v12 you can not start homebrew!!
It’s absolutely strange that beta testers can’t detect this problem.
