PSNABLER V5 Released; Get Back on PSN with Select PSP Titles *Updated*

Update: V5 adds support for PixelJunk, as well corrects some bugs… So if you had issues, try again.
Get back on the PlayStation Network with PSNABLER V4… Wait, hold up, slow your roll — don’t jump to the download just yet… For the moment it seems only Resistance, Little Big Planet, and Syphon Filter Combat Ops are “psnabled.” In other words: only these games work; store access and other games remain blocked. So if you aren’t sporting any of the above titles, you don’t need PSNABLER.
Tips to get PSNABLER working:
- Make sure “psnabler.txt” is in the seplugins directory along with “psnabler.prx”
- Make sure “psnabler.txt” reads “06.20″ (without the quotes)
- Make sure you’re using the m33 driver, other drivers will result in a crash
- Make sure you have a registered PSN account
- And if in the future it magically tells you that you need to update your firmware to get on PSN, change the version string to match Sony’s latest firmware #

Yes you can download levels on LBP. And RedHate and COLDFUSiON are one in the same. Also post any games that use PSN not on the plugin now and they will be added.

Make sure you use m33 driver, make the text in psnabbler.txt 06.20 see if that helps.

Bunk.. doesn’t work on LittleBigPlanet (psy-lbp) with the txt changed to 6.20, GEN D3. Still says system update is required. The image size is larger than what the readme asks for. I don’t know how to make the game 1.25GB. It’s closer to 1.4GB.

CSO = 1.25GB
Maybe the files that you guys are using is what’s causing it not to work. Try making an ISO and CSO of your game and test it with both. See which one works. Get PSP ISO Compressor by Danny_kay1710. Compresses, decompresses, and changes the file you have.
No good… compressed with UMDGEN 4.00 to 1.28GB, still doesn’t work. This plugin is obviously coded poorly with no logic to inject its code properly in images that slightly differ from one another.

it was designed using 5.00 m33-6, it you cant make it work on m33 then you’re doing something wrong. (sorry but yep…)

um i cant go online in LBP it asking me to update i dont know what i did wrong i installed i enabled psnabler.prx when i go online sign in into my account tell me i need to update :(
It works for ALOT of people so i dont think its coded poorly. I use 5.00m33-6 and it works fine for me. Most people that had issues with it just switched to m33 driver in their vsh menu or chnaged the psnabler.txt. Also i made a repo for the plugin just to keep the versions straight.

Tried: LBP (psy.lbp) untouched ISO: didn’t work
Tried: LBP converted to CSO (1.28GB): didn’t work
Tried: disabling all other plugins except Game Categories: Didn’t work.
In every case I was still told I needed to update firmware when I tried to go online with it.
im on 5.00 M33-6 and it works fine for me with pixeljunk, LBP, and RR and i have several other plugins enabled i even tested it on a CSO then decompressed it to ISO and still worked fine.
so far i have only noticed the people on GEN having troubles with this (and many other plugins) so its either user error (not smart enough to follow a n00b proof readme.txt) or just retarded either way or the poor modifications to the GEN FW either way PSNabler is not poorly coded its poor usage by the user or poorly coded GEN

Well that sucks, it doesn’t for me. I have: Untouched LBP iso 1.4 gb EU, 5.50 Gen-D3. I’ve tried everything and it still doesnt work. Someone out there got a solution? Oh, and any of you know how to get that LBP patch for iso? I’m tired of having my flatwoods monster explode on me!
i been using psnablerv3 and v4 i notice something diferent in the v3 and v4 version
v3- it bypass psn but when its connecting it freezes
v4- it always ask you to update your firmware
i hope they release another update because v4 its not working

I have the same PSP 2001 TA088V1 with 5.50 Gen-D3 installed, I just read the readme and then installed the plugin as it said:-
- Copy psnabler.prx and the .txt document to seplugins
- Add this line in the “GAME.TXT”
ms0:/seplugins/psnabler.prx 1
After doing that I started LBP (clean ISO 1.4gb) and I can go Online (no more Update to newer firmware thing), however the Servers are down?
Trust me, I know what I’m doing, and it didn’t work. With V5 I can get online with Pixeljunk, so obviously I have it installed right. I just can’t get LBP to work no matter what I do. It’s the US version that came from psy-psp. I tried the patched, clean, and CSO compressed versions… every one told me I needed a system software update.
And oh for the record, make sure you go check in -> Recovery Menu -> Advanced -> Advanced Configuration, whether or not the GAME plugins are enabled. If not, Enable it.

the 42.7mb syphon filter combat ops doesnt work.
However I ripped resistance retribution with the ripkit provided in v4 and ripped it to 34.8mb. i used v3 of the program and online play works like a charm.havent tried v4 for r:r yet
both version dont work on combat ops.
btw am using a slim with cfw 5.50 GEN D3 installed. i disabled all the plugins ingame except for psnabler. i used the m33 driver and my clock speed is 333mhz for both vsh and game.

You should never overclock the PSP cpu to 333mhz in a game you are playing online. The “wifi card”, if you will, is set to max use of 300mhz. Running it at 333mhz continually will burn it out! Then no wifi for your PSP. :(

Everyone having issues pleases check and make sure your driver is set to m33 driver, this seems to be the issue. For those that dont know how in your xmb press select and go down to UMD ISO MODE and change it to m33. If that doesnt work sorry, but it has worked for alot of people so far.
is there a way to apply the patch without the umd ??

actually, its a combo of two people working on this project yes redhate / coldfusion are the same person and yep 1 of them, the other is smokin my counter part he’s been helping with the game patching i write the plugin :P

Are people able to sign up for the PSN? I try to sign up so I can download LBP levels but it tells me either the servers are down, a update is required to sign up, or a connection error has occurred.

RedHate, should this work on PSP3000 with 5.03 MHU? For me it’s not working with UCUS-98744
I could not get this working on my phat with M33-6. I edited the text file to 6.20, enabled the plugin in the recovery menu as well as changing my driver to m33. My game plugins are enabled in the avanced menu as well.
I also upgraded to PSNABLERV5 from the link in a comment here. I have only tested this with Little Big Planet so far. I have Resistance Retribution but have not bothered to try the rip kit.
The file name of my LBP copy is Little_Big_Planet Usa-Fix.iso. The iso file size is 1,346,998 KB. I converted it to cso with no luck either. The file size after conversion was 1,315,455 KB. But when I copied the file to my memory card I noticed it said it was 1.2gigs. Either way I have had no luck with this plug in.
I read a comment on here stating it worked with M33-6 so I have not tried any other Custom FW releases.
For those of you that have had success with this plugin perhaps you could share the file name of your game iso so that others can aquire the proper rip of the game and possibly enjoy the plugin as well.
I have read so many comments from users stating this plugin will not work for them. I had a feeling it was too good to be true and I have yet to be convinced other wise. There are a few who state it works for them but I have no way to verify they are telling the truth which leads me to believe they are messing with people. This is all just based on my own experience thus far.
I am in no way trying to bash the creators of this plugin. I am more or less trying to get those of you who have had success with it to give us a little info on how you got it working. Basically what I want to know is the exact iso you are using. The file name when you downloaded it so that I can also get it and try it out. The resistance iso should be small enough to rapid share or whatever….

Lol…plugin works perfect BUT LBP asks me to patch the LittleBigPlanet game, patch as in that thing you do with UMDs, go to icon press triangle choose update, but for a pirated version thats impossible, oh well, no online levels then.

Works for me for Pixeljunk but just like the last version it still doesn’t work on LBP for me and I’ve tried several different versions of the image, packed and unpacked.

It seems that you need to use a WEP key for your connection not a WPA in order for it to work.
I use WPA and would never use WEP. I was able to get online with Pixeljunk using WPA so I don’t think that’s the issue… but I can’t get LBP to work no matter what.
Come to think of it, maybe I’ll test this theory on one of my neighbor’s open networks. I’ll let you guys know.

Sweet if you don’t mind having a completely insecure network running on WEP that can be cracked and broken into in less than 5 minutes.
It would appear that v6 has been released. I found it on that repo that somebody posted a few comments back.
So, how do we overcome the problem of not being able to get the patch update required to get online with LBP? I haven’t tried any other games on the list yet, but is LBP the only one with patch updates?
By the way, I have now confirmed for myself: it is true that at least for LBP (haven’t tested others) it will NOT work if you use WPA but it WILL work on WEP or unencrypted…

Dean Gullberry how the hell did you get the LBP work? i did what the readme told me to do but still it asks me to update the game i tryed to get it work on gen-d3 and there it wasnt working tooo.
now im back on m33-6 and tryed again and again and again… and my way to sucess … well 99% more to get it working :D
