Game Categories Revised v11 Released

A must-have update from Bubbletune — Game Categories v11… Plenty of optimizations and additions are packed into this one, for instance: a new network update feature allowing you to update Game Categories automatically, you can now show/hide uncategorized homebrew from system settings instead of the text file, and of course the odd bug fix here and there.
Note: the above video does not showcase the new features in v10/v11.

- Fixed a bug introduced in v10 that caused a lot of homebrew to malfunction.
Game Categories Revised v10:
- Added option under ‘Network Update’ to update Game Categories.
- Hiding Uncategorized now works for Content Browser mode as well.
- Fixed incompatibility with various plugins with Content Browser mode.
- Photo Player loaded if you listened to Music before going to Content Browser, fixed.
- Added option to System Settings to show/hide uncategorized (text file no longer works).
- Built-in Game Categories of GEN will be automatically disabled now.
- Optimized to reduce plugin size.

How?
They always have, but one thing that is broken in content browser mode is PSX games… They boot w/ popsloader up to the PS logo then freeze. But work in both other modes.

this doesnt work in my psp, i put the plugin in the folder but it doesnt work.. psp 5.50 gen d2… any help?
did you copy the vsh.txt also did you enable it in recovery menu.
put the game_categories.prx under seplugins folder and add “ms0:/seplugins/game_categories.prx 1″ to your vsh.txt found also inside seplugins folder.adding ” 1″(with space) after prx automatically enabled it in recovery. do this and everything should be fine.

I’ve never had a red screen on GEN (any version) even without this plugin…
one of best plugin, and now it gets better and better. great job bubbletone. if may i suggest, if it is possible, it would be really nice if we could arrange our contents both folder and hb/games/etc to our liking so that for those least apps being used should be placed at the bottom line. its only a suggestion and im not sure if its possible. nways, keep it up and thank you for keeping us happy.(pardon my english)
very good plugin, loving every bit of it, just a lil suggestion, rather than having “[nos]of games” showing for every catergrory, why not make it show [nos] of applications under applications category and [nos] of homebrew under homebre…making it respond to any name the user give category
nice… i love this plugin so much… this ver have almost all function that i wish for.. xD..
This has to be one of the most useful plugins ever, right up there with hold+. I have been very happy with it since I first tried it on Wednesday. I just wish that there was an option for sorting your programs alphabetically.

Awesome. Glad to see that the bugs and plugin in-compatibilities were fixed. Although, I have to ask… is the network update featture really necessary? I mean, unless there are going to be 10 + more updates, you are better off just updating using your PC.
Yay they fixed the bug when using the Hold+ plugin!
But now my PSN games don’t work in content browse mode will double check and update as I find more info. Anyone else run into this yet?
