TimeBatteryPercent v1.0 Released

greg | November 19, 2009

As simple as a-b-c and as effective as hot-dogs from the crockpot… TimeBatteryPercent from developer pspflashsystem… It adds the battery percentage next to the battery icon. Also added is the year, you know, to be reminded that we’re done for in 3.

I love these types of plugins… not sure why though. For example, I love dayviewer, even thogh it is super simple… go figure.

Nice job!

Yeah, no dice here, either. I even gave it it’s own line in vsh.txt, activated it, and nothing.

5.50 GEN-D2 on a fat.

ms0:/seplugins/timebatterypercent.prx 1 <<that means its already enabled so by clicking on it disables it so it wont work

Okay, got it to work.

You MUST have your date format set to DD/MM/YYYY and set your time format to 24 hour clock.

I also added an entry to vsh.txt (ms0:/seplugins/TimeBatteryPercent.prx) and enabled it, but I’m not sure if that’s necessary.

Sucks, since I don’t like the 24 hour clock and prefer MM/DD/YYYY.

thanks bro. and you’re right about the time and date formats.

Those changes do make it work, but it looks like a little more coding needs to be done to make this friendly to those of us that still read dates as month/day/year (I know, almost everywhere outside the US does it day/month/year, but still), and supporting a 12-hour clock as it is still standard for most of us. I’d love to see the source for this…

in the vsh.txt input you followed in the comment by nyr2k2 he forgot to put a 1 after the the .prx so incase thats the mistake you have just copy and paste this in your vsh.txt (ms0:seplugins/TimeBatteryPercent.prx 1) if you enter manualy remember to press the space bar after .prx then put your 1! lemme know if this helps, i just got mine working,

Good plugin, but when you use the Day Viewer plugin, one of them not work (there is some conflict). 2nd – on some CTF the date and hour wasn’t correctly displayed (something was missing or be cut).

I’m waiting for new version.

indeed. Great plugin but dayviewer doesn’t work anymore.
Is there a possibility to use this app in the game menu? (when you press home in a game) that you can see the perc%?

nice idea, i always found the battery only having 3 stages (4 if you count the last minute with no bar) to be a little useless, no idea how long it has left until it’s basically dead.

would be good if it was possible to show it when pressing home in game (as the guy above said) and maybe even have the timer included (not that the timer is ever accurate anyway) then you could make informed decisions to if you have enough power left to finish a mission before the battery dies.

What tha hell is this vsh.txt, where I should create this?

Comment by nyr2k2
2009-11-20 20:15:07

At the root of your memory stick, you should have a folder titled “seplugins”. In there, you should have some text files: game.txt, game150.txt, pops.txt and vsh.txt. If you don’t have vsh.txt (or any of the others, just create a text file and call it that).

Then in the vsh.txt file, add the aforementioned line of text.

u need DD/MM/YYYY
24 HOUR
include in vsh.txt & game.txt
ENABLE BOTH ^^^^

then config the INI file according to your liking
open config.ini in notepad, i changed JAN to /01 FEB to /02 and removed the days of the week,

the top of my psp reads:
01/01 11:32 AM 100%

all i wanted was the bat status.
