well guys i think may have done something wrong because i hard shut down my psp and well chickhen still need to be ran again so i don’t know if its me or just a bug but also reboot seems to work but hard shut down or battery removal does not

I havent got a vsh.txt and game.txt in my seplugins folder ???

Copied it on, will try on the train on my way home today!

This just isn’t working for me. For some reason the plugin is taking my theme away and failing to load Gen-b after a hardboot 3 out of 3 times. I think I’ll wait around for something diferent.

Really good job! But as I get it (being a plugin), it cannot help you in case of a power cycle (means battery runs dry or removal of battery). This will always go back to official. Still it’s very good that you can just reboot when you want without worrying about ChickHEN ;-)

hey guys, just for those who are having problems with sedna, after enabling sedna in seplugins and having your psp in cfw(gen A/B), go to chickhen AGAIN and scroll down all the way to the TIFF image. After it loads up, the tiff image becomes UNSUPPORTED DATA and thats when you know its patched and sedna is running. :D

i dunno know…i have a psp 2000, when i enable the plugin it the tiff image becomes unsupported data but when i do a hard reboot it still doesn’t work :(

Any issues on that? i want to retain it and use Sedna at the same time. is it possible?

you can only use the shutdown option on the vsh menu (i think this only simulates a psp on standby). if you use the power button to shutdown the psp the patch wont work.

I do see great potential in this.
For now, manually enabling ChickHEN is much easier for me. I have been achieving 100% success rate enabling ChickHEN. Do not even need to delete EGGHUNT.BIN, wait for image to load etc..

i still can’t get it works,readme says copy this line ms0:/seplugins/Sedna.prx 1 in the file X:\seplugins\vsh.txt, X:\seplugins\game.txt

but the problem is i don’t have vsh.text n game.text file…..??

hey . i disbaled the vsh menu by going to configuration then disbled VSHmenu. Am i doing right procedure? afta that the sedna things worked for me. then when i press the select button. the vsh menu won t show up coz i disbled it. the quest is how am supose to change e,g umd mode to m33 driver, or sony. where do i go to change that things while the vsh menu won show up. lols

So I’ll make sure I get this straight , you can only reboot and shut down via vsh menu so that the plugin works.and if you try to shut down hard way , the psp will go to standby. as shown in the video posted by cs , or I misunderstood something ?

okay guys. here’s how it works. i’ve posted this above already but for the sake of those who do not have patience to look for it:

You are NOT supposed to reboot the device by holding the power button up for 3 seconds. It will DEFINITELY NOT retain your CFW.

what this thing only does is two:

1. REBOOT option VSH menu, and still retain your CFW.

2. SHUTDOWN option in VSH menu, instead of a real shutdown, it is replaced with just STANDBY, which means you will really be able to retain your CFW.

of course, it also patches tiff files and flash 0,1,2,3 in USB mode.

Tested it myself. But, oh well, I’m not keeping it. because I want my Ultimate VSH Menu intact.

So is shutdown device from the vsh menu the same as flicking the switch briefly to put it in sleep?

If you remove the battery or turn off your psp through holding the power button for a few seconds you will be back to 5.03 ofw. You can use the shutdown in vsh menu which does sleep instead. and you can use reboot device to reboot your psp and keep you in 5.03 gen-a.

hmm… didn’t work for me. CFWenabler didn’t recognize the plugin. I got pissed at that, so I just got 5.50GEN-D.

Like it seems the cxmb doesn’t work with Sedna enabled at least it didn’t work for me. When I swap to a ctf theme the PSP crashed and when I was disabling Sedna it worked afterwards.

If you have made it this far down throught the comments:
A clarification as to what SEDNA does:
It patches any logical shutdown/reboot commands. If any software asks for a reboot, then this will stop that.
This plugin DOES NOT patch any hardware shutdowns. This includes:
– Battery running out
