Yes its cool
heck yea this looks awesome!!!!
how can i add my game to my categories?
now, i can created categories, but i can’t find a way to add game in it.
thanks guys
Creating categories is simple, create a new folder in either GAME, GAME150, GAME5XX or ISO folder with the name of you category prefixed with CAT_ and fill it with everything you want in that category.
to dumb to read aren’t u.
Dude, you might want to check your spelling first, it’s ‘too’ not ‘to’.
i hardly understand what suppose to do here. im new in psp scene. please, can someone make step by step on how to install this and how to categorize iso games. im in 5.00 m33-6 version of psp. it would be appreciated if someone teach me. thanks..
This isn’t too hard to figure out. Just put the prx in your seplugins folder and type it in the vsh.txt. I think that’s done for you. Then, make a new folder in ISO or GAME folders with the prefix “CAT_” and add the category after that. Example: CAT_Homebrew. CAT_Games. Then put your ISO games inside the new “CAT_” folder. Enable the plugin in recovery and it should work fine.
Well so far, for me personally this is broken. I was using V4 just fine. I replaced the prx with the new one, rebooted, and my categories don’t show up on the game menu.
can you teach me how to install this. i think its cool application for psp.
Same with me, but i fixed it.
Go to system>>system settings>>Game categories mode (or w/e it is) and set it to what you want.
Apparently this one cant load the config file from the older versions so you have to set it again.
Never mind the above… deleted the settings.bin file, now it works.
where do i create those folder? in the root of memory stick? and do i have to move my games through those folders? please i need help.
Right in the readme…
“Instructions:
————-
Install it like any plugin in vsh.
You can select the mode which you like to use under your System Settings menu, the following are availible:
- Multiple MS, this will show a new memory stick icon for each category you have.
- Context Mode, this will show a context menu when you press X on your game icon and lets you select the category (last selection will be remembered).
Creating categories is simple, create a new folder in either GAME, GAME150, GAME5XX or ISO folder with the name of you category prefixed with CAT_ and fill it with everything you want in that category.”
is this correct, i create a folder inside ISO and i name it CAT_RPG and i put Crisis Core inside. is that correct? then i turn on the plugin from recovery and exit. in xmb nothing happens. am i doing wrong?
yah ryt, if u’re a noob y use this?! this plugin only categories games, homebrew & psx. noobs don’t knw much about homebrew bcoz theyr newbie. if u’re jzt using 2 or 3 homebrew there no use havin this plugin for such a few apps. unless u’re using 20-30 app that is…
so don’t use it noob! lol :P
lol, i used this to simply CATEGORIZE my games. i dont install homebrews, just plugins. i currently have 26 games installed. my problem now is that .ISO GAMES dont show in the menu. just .CSO GAMES. btw, do you know whats ISO or CSO is? idiot.
Light’s an idiot for being so impatient and so quick to insult others.
light is just a example of a troll, just ignore him, seriusly im hardly afraid of what he wrights like “You shouldnt mess with me bitch or il fuck your head off” he just wants his little attention
At least I can beat you up in reel life. ;_;
If you are going to try and intimidate someone, at least learn to spell, you ignorant cock. It’s “real,” not “reel.”
Light, literacy is your friend.
The only noob here is you.
You all need to shut the fuck up.
Geez.
What the hell is this?
Daycare?
Make sure system settings is set to “Context Menu”
Make your category, “CAT_RPGs” or whatever, in your ISO folder.
Put your ISOs in there.
Not in the GAME folder.
its pretty easy..
step 1:create a new folder inside iso folder
EX:ms0:/iso/CAT_psp games
step 2:rename the new folder with whatever you like to write in it Ex:CAT_psp games,CAT_psp iso,CAT_my psp game collection ..etc..etc
step 3:ok once you are done renaming the folder put your iso games into the new create folder and thats it.
if you want to do the same with the other folders like game,game150,game550..etc just do the same thats it.EX:GAME/CAT_apps,CAT_emulador,CAT_my awesome APPS..etc
ooh there is uncategorized MS you can rename it whatever you want just find the game_categories_en.txt open it and rename it XD..
game categories
uncategorized <— (write anything and save it)
multiple MS
context menu
hope this helps for all the newbie psp user
if you didnt understand anything..well i tried XD
i understand what you are saying. i said i already manage it to work. but somehow, my dissidia_final_fantasy.iso / naruto_shippuden_akatsuki.iso dont show in game list/menu wherever i put them. in short, .iso games dont show.
I think the names are too long. That happened to me once. Try renaming to something like dissidia.iso and naruto.iso and see if that helps.
dude, y the heck did u told them?! lol
that disastre idi0t wouldn’t get it to work on his own bcoz his stupid! lol
categorizing games?! lol
thats lame! as if d idiot has 50 games on his mc.
Whats so hard to believe about having 50+ games on one MS? I have an 8gig loaded with 68 Homebrew/Apps and 13 ISOS. (Thats 81 for those of you who cant count :p) With 7 Categories.
well, i’m actually talking about that stupid “disastre” the guy said
“i used this to simply CATEGORIZE my games. i dont install homebrews”
y use the plugin for nothin but his few games! the noob doesn’t even have apps, emu or shells (probably dont even knw it)
unless his like u that uses that # of apps & knws much!
You`re just as illiterate and fucking stupid as that Light douchebag. disastre said he has 26 games. Thats a lot to look through evertime he boots up the PSP. Hell thats more all my homebrews and isos combined and I was sick of scrolling through my unorganized mess.
Just to avoid confusion, this is directed at xron13x.
Agreed.
I love this plugin.
I hated have a Alphabetical missmatched GAME folder.
Now I have this:
ISOs
Homebrew Games
Homebrew Apps
Emulators
Playstation
It’s neater than my room, lol.
Having a problem getting some of my iso’s to work. It shows up in categories and all, but when I select it, the gameboot shows, and screen goes black with the memory stick light blinking showing it’s loading, but it never does. Have to take out the battery to turn the thing off to reboot.
Heres a link to Homebrew Sorter which can be used with Game Categories:

Thanks. I was looking for something like this.
does this work on 5.03gen a (hen)?
Hey, in context view is there any way to change the order in which the list is viewed?
This is what I have ALWAYS WANTED! :D :D
@frefol = thanks a lot. it works.
@xron13x = im sorry for being a noob. like PSPsilver said, u’r as dumbed and as idiot as Light.
xron13x is an idiot and jerk just like that light person…..He may be noob but if he doesn’t ask he would never learn.:P
i didnt think this plugin needed a update. i did notice the freeze in internet search but i never use it anyway, i use the netfont 4 browser. good to see the fixes tho
Agreed. ^_^
Does it work with GEN 5.03 Full A on PSP 3000?
Anybody???
first time using this and its a great app but for some reason I can’t get final fantasy tactics to show up in the games folder I’ve made, every other game shows up fine. I’ve copied and re-copied and it won’t show up, weird thing is it shows up fine in uncategorized, but that kinda defeats the purpose of the app… any ideas anybody? or is it just a weird bug?
Found the problem after reading other people’s posts, the name was way too long, shortened it and it showed right up, great app
this is realy cool, i like the thing that you get to organize your homebrew, very usefull
there been a quick update

Update: Version 6
- Did attempts to fix a few crashes, although I am unable to reproduce the bug in my own PSP.
- Changed name of config file to avoid issues with the new format (old config will be removed).
Just a couple of suggestions. Maybe you could add a subdirectory mode where categories appear as subfolders in Uncategorized. Also an XMB icon rearranger that can rearrange categories and games in categories would be nice. PSP Filer 6.3 and PSPconsole v1.7 can only rearrange the icons in Uncategorized.
I install it like said, enable the prx and yet when i exit recovery to the XMB it doesn’t boot. Does anyone else have a similar problem? I am running 5.0 m33-6
I figured out the problem, if you are using the Ultimate VSH menu plugin you will have a problem. Man i feel stupid, lol. But is there a way you can fix this, like update the plugin to support game categories? This would be great if I’m not asking for too much that is…
I love this plugin. <3
Tested this on PHAT PSP with 5.50 GEN-D (Full) and works great!
I have the Ultimate VSH Menu and Hold+ plugins as well and it doesn’t cause any problems.
