Awesome I needed this
Awesome news.
What does this program do?
don’t u know how to read?! it’s a vid player m0ron!
yah ryt, u mean update.
this homebrew has been out like almost 2 yrs (correct me if i’m wrong)
btw, nice update cooleyes! apps really cool!
… look at the total time on the 3gp file, no wonder it didnt work.
that’s what i’m talking about… it doesn’t work right… the file is actually 3gp – it plays elsewhere and it isn’t 00:00.
did you try renaming the file to a supported format? i.e. mp4? worked for me before.
You can’t rename a 3GP file into an Mp4 and expect it to play. You would first need to convert the file into MP4.
If that was the case converting videos would be as easy as renaming the end extension to what ever it is you like -.-
Think?
I’ve done it before with 3gp.
I used to PSPube and all their videos were 3gp, change the name and it works.
If you changed a .png to a .jpg, could you view it?
Yes.
The only reason that you can view it is that you image view is smart enough to realize you were an idiot and renamed it to a .jpg file. If you had a viewer that could ONLY view .jpg files, it would give you an error, because the file isnt actually a .jpg.
Once again, as above, renaming a file doesnt actually change its file type.
the only reason why it played on PSPtube is that PSPtube can play lots of formats, try mkv, flv, mp4 and 3gp without renaming them and it’ll still play on PSPTube.. but then try 3gp video rename that to mp4 and put it in you Video Folder, try that and play it with PSP’s default video player.. Does it play? No! its a noobs game trying to rename and hoping it will play..
about tne png and jpg thingy, any picture viewer regardless of the extension, it will still play it, as long as the format of that picture is supported by the player..
It was PSPube.com not PSPTube.
And I understand what you’re saying.
I wasn’t saying “omg lyke dats how u make dat work.”
All I was saying was my experience with PSPube, making the files work by switching the extention.
Check out the site, and you’ll see what I mean.
Sometimes a program will detect whether or not a file is supported by the file type rather then codec and changing the extension could get the file to work.
Greg, What exactly did you use to record your screen like that?
Remotejoy?
you know it
mine wont even play my .mkv files that I have.
I click on the file but it doesnt seem to play.
the .mp4 files work just fine but .mkv doesnt.
Any suggestions?????
By the compatibility list above you need the files to be encoded with the baseline profile and not mp or hp. Other video players have the same problem because of b-frames and interlacing in mp and hp.
To specific of a codec that it supports, RAAGE.
one thing im pissed about this PMP player is the subtitle, ive tried lots of .srt subtitles. it doesnt work..
1. copy your favo font(ttf) to your PSP under PMPPlayer’s font folder
2. open file config.xml in PMPlayer’s folder
3. edit this entry : <font face="your_favo_font.ttf"
3gp format also work in it, it had worked for me i have 5.50 GEN-B2 WORK NICELY.
i love this homebrew application!!
Cool Homebrew app!
Dit this player support cyrilik subs? I mean this Потдържа ли БГ? or no? Our languages code is diferend and when i putt it in daywiewer for exemple is show this #$%@@@% onto Sounday, Monday and etc.
when i go to play pmp it starts for a second then quits like the video shown for the other format. Y is this doing this for a .p.p?
I like cheese

Excuse me, but how to install this homebrew?
I have a PSP Fat… This app never really
worked well at all. It freezes and then crashes.
It doesn’t play the formats it’s supposed to play.
I wish there was a simple player that would truly
play AVI, DIVX, MP4 (PSP and the Ipod compatible ones), and WMV. This doesn’t’ do it.
anime mkv files wont works here….nice application..needs improvement ^^
