5.55 & 6.00 Games Decrypter v4 Released

Just a little update from Yoshihiro… Improved compatibility (for 6.xx) and bug fixes now leaves us at 5.55 & 6.00 Games Decrypter v4.
Again, Games Decrypter decrypts and patches EBOOT.BIN files from 5.55 or 6.00 required games. Once said and done you’ll be playing these titles on custom firmware 5.50 or 5.03 GEN. And if you want to take it one step further, play on 5.00 M33 using mc707’s app.
Update: Apparently v4 makes ‘em work on all custom firmwares. See Sh4d0w’s comment.

there is no such FW it only goes up to 5.0M33-6 or 5.50GEN-B

Man…this really levels the fields between hackers and SONY. I mean..encrypting Eboots was obviously their way of keeping us out and making us update. And game security is really the only reason sony keeps updating the firmware. This decryption of Eboots is such a great idea. It’s a similar concept to decrypting dvd’s. Sony will have to go back to the drawing board if they really want to respond to this…which I doubt they can unless they want to change the entire infrastructure. Awesome job Yoshi!!

Gt eur should work. You most likely have a bad dump.
i got to the part that says autosave and then got the black screen. if i have a bad dump what sould i do? re-do evrything again? (extract decript and patch and put on iso?)
The GT (EUR) that you downloaded is a bad dump of the game. GT (USA) works as it should.
you’ve patch the wrong eboot.bin…i should be inside the update folder…if the encrypt still failed…open your iso with other tools such as daemon tool…and repackage the iso using the decrypter….
No…if you patch the one in the update folder your just patching the update…you have to patch the one in SYSDIR folder

This took me a couple of times to get this working on my slim, the screen went black 2 times until I got it right do any of ya think I ruined my psp?
no…u didnt ruin the psp…Getting the black screen can be compared to error-handling…It couldnt find something/there was a conflict, so it just stopped everything to prevent a crash/brick

U dont need that any more…V4 makes them ALL work…I am currently playing: GT, Motorstorm, Tetris(PSP MINI), Brainpipe(MINI), Undead knights all on 5.00M33…and will be testing more soon.

This is correct… to a certain point:
Some games just needs to be patched to work on 5.00 m33-6, not decrypted.
And if the Games Decrypter doesnt find any files to decrypt it wont patch the file to work on 5.00 either. So when you stumble uppon a game like this example: PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe (USA) you will still need the Eboot.bin Patcher from mc707 to get it to work…

I bet Yoshi will integrate the function to skip decryption if it isnt found and still patch it to work on 5.00 in a future release.

Hum… the first download link is from this site, so you don’t “have to” visit pspgen if you don’t want (but I recommend you to “do so” ’cause it’s a great community)

A suggestion to yoshihiro…
Could you try to make a plugin that would bypass the PSN FW check? or maybe an in-game version spoofer? so ppl like me on 5.00 or lower can access PSN and pplay online? Since you did so well with bypassing the ISO encryption/FW checks this shouldnt be too hard for you :)
I believe you can do that with the GEN firmwares now, Yoshi is with GEN so i doubt he’ll make a patch, he’ll just say update to GEN.
And thanks for the update, for a minute I thought that the PSP scene died; looks like we won…for now.
yea i agree, i was worried about the scene, but i was thinking before the decrypters came out, what if the key is not the FW, but the game?? but i dont know a lot about programming, so i couldnt get much done. like a week later the eboot decrypter comes out
Look, I had a very hard time letting go of 5.00 m33… trust me. I kept telling myself that soon there would be a new m33 and all will be well. After watching all my friends, and did I mention ALL my friends?, with Gen. I finally decided to go to Gen. I thought,”What the heck, I can always go back.” Well my friend I have no intentions of going back now. Gen is everything that m33 is and more. So you wont be missing out on anything. Don’t be stubborn and let go of m33 like we all let go of our mom’s titties at some point in our lives. :)
I have been on GEN before, and I had way too many problems out of it. Like no LEDA for my slim, or 1.50 add on for my phat. My SAVEDDATA folder constantly registered as fully corrupted while I was on it, and my MS was being read too slowly(Sandisk 8GB). So I just downgraded back…I can live without using the PS Store on my PSP…I just use MediaGO instead.
No Persona for 5.50 MHU still :(

How come whenever I rebuild a patched ISO using UMDGen v4, it gives an output of 4 gigs-sized ISO? I tried patching Persona and Undead Knights again ’cause I think I’ve made a mistake patching the game before. .
Is it also possible to re-decrypt an already decrypted ISO (using Yoshihiro’s Decrypter V2) using Yoshihiro’s Decrypter v4?
I would also like to know how to get pixeljunk working on 5.03gen-a(my wifes psp) we cant play together so she plays mines -____-

Just update. This game only requires 5.50.
Its great I play it straight no need to patch I’m not saying the Eboot patcher is bad it help too but this is straight decrypting into 5.00 M33-6
actually, i think by decrypting it you also patching it. i think what yoshihiro did is he combined his decrypter and mc707’s eboot patch. well, that’s what i think.
tried it iso doesnt even show up as a game. on a fat 1000 on 5.00 m33-6

I’m using 5.00-m33 on PSP1k btw.
Now I know what’s the deal with a 4 gig-sized output of UMDGen v4. I had integrated the ISO file format to Daemon tools, and I think that’s the one that causes the problem. Everything’s ok for me now. But I’ve confirmed that patching Persona still doesn’t work on CFW 5.00 M33-6.
So persona still doesnt work….ok well i guess i can cancel this download and start another…
persona works in 5.00m33-6 with this. You need to do the import/export file list in umdgen and use the “sony np9660″ mode
Could you then possibly, specifically, how to make Persona work? I’ve tried numerous things, yet none are working. I’m using a PSP2000 with 5.00 m33-6.

>export filelist
>extract eboot.bin
>decrypt and patch eboot.bin (o button, not x button)
>put patched eboot.bin into iso with umdgen
>import filelist
>create iso
>set psp to sony np9660 mode to play

take a look to the previous release comments, some really helpful (some r not) it’ll be much less confusing if u knw what the 1st version does.

you need UMDGen to extract and build your disc image after modifying the files within the image.
The decrypter is for altering one of the files in the disc image (eboot.bin) that is preventing the game from booting on your current firmware version.
If none of the above makes any sense to you… you might be in over your head.
Also, there is a pretty straight forward readme.txt included with the decrypter
Ive got a psp 3000 with 5.03 mhu cfwe 3.60. I dont have a laptop at moment. Im using mobile to browse this site. I want to know if this will able me to run new 5.50 & 6.00 fw games in 5.03 mhu or gen on 3000 model. As title says it works on 5.50 and 5.03 gen. If any1 with 3000 or mob v3 is getin it 2 work it plz comment cauz next week im moving to my friend and im using his laptop to patch new games.

Just tried it with Gran Turismo PSP, under 5.00 M33-6, works perfectly. Just remember to decrypt with O instead of X!

all the other games ive tryed (GT and naruto shippuden) have worked. while i was under 5.50gen-b
i had to reboot into recovery and enable execute BOOT.BIN in UMD/ISO for the game to work. now im under 5.50gen-b2 (full) and when i try the same method i still doesn’t work.i know its not my game because ive also tryed it with my friends game and the same thing happens. please help

I have Persona (PSP version) ISO Working on 5.00 M33-6 currently.
1.) I used UMDgen4 to extract eboot.bin from ISO to root of memory stick on psp.
2.) Ran game-decrypter-byyoshihiro-v4 from PSP memory stick:
using “X” button option did not work
using “O” button option worked
3.) Copied the new eboot.bin from the “Decryptor” folder on root of PSP, to UMDgen4, and repacked the ISO.
4.) Set CFW UMD ISO mode to Sony NP9660, or game will go black after opening movie.
5.) game appears to be working great.
…now I can get back to my purchased copy of the game ;)

There is a special patch released for Soul Caliber. I patched that game over a month ago, prior to Yoshihiro’s Decryptor. Google it, or just find an already patched copy…

it doesn’t work on some ISO its says “its a fake dump” so it means the ISO must be a good one to be decrypted I tried it on NFS Shift that message came up and the “DECRYPTOR” folder is empty.

Cannot Decrypt Games Eboot … I had the same probleme with M33, after change USB Device to UMD Disc, no problem to decryt Motor Storm and Grand Turismo.

ach diesen fehler cannot decryt games eboot, hat nichts zu tun mit dem Usb Device sondern anstatt den Decrypter im Ordner PSP/GAME, kommt er eher in den Ordner PSP/GAME5xxx, danach kommt dieser fehler nicht mehr.
