Yo Dave I posted about this earlyer in the psp go hack post. I saw it at QJ it’s insane. What I want now is to upgrade the psp ram from 32mb on the phat to 256mb then install all the files with a pandora battery the psp would be blazing fast and have lots of extra room for all the new features and 1.5 kernel without having to deleat enything.
Ps this goes to all the moders pleast try it with however much ram you want then use a pandora battery to install all the files and share your findings. I bet if this works the entire scene would go compleatly apeshit

Idk maybes he has a homebrew app for it. Oooooo and I’m surprised that Sony still hasn’t put the rumble feature in any psp.. Tht would b a good feature to have ur psp vibrate wen u shoot shit.
He did say he uses CFW and we all know just about anything is possible with CFW. that’s why I think if he swaped out th NAND flash for a lrger one even if it’s blank he can install CFW with a pandora battery and magic ms and then he would have more than enough space to put the files for all the extra hardware no problm.
hi alex i am working on it. guess what…….. i succeeded!!!!!!!!!!! i made my psp flash nand to 1.28 gb. i did this with divx converter(that i created some psp supportable programes).
He said the PSP had an 32GB Flash memory, which means that it’s just like an memory card. He never said tat he swap the NAND chip.
On PSP2k, anything above 64MB is useless since PSP firmware only recognize 64MB NAND flash, and highly possible tat it may never work at all.
Someone should try it icant because I don’t really know how but in theory maybe the limit can be higher with a tweek to the FW to recognize the new larger NAND just like thy did with the higher capacity MS with the FW update a while back

What I would REALLY like is if a few of us modders get together and get some premodded faceplates/backplates/umd doors molded in plastic and mass produced. adding a useless second joystick isn’t epic its been done years ago and still none ever supports it homebrew or otherwise. 2gb internel is a nice addon but can be done with a simple adapter and 2 micro sd cards on any normal psp. and a camra you can buy off the shelf for a psp. what sony shoulda done and what we got are 2 different matters and its not going to happen until psp reaches it end of life and psp2 is made. a hand held that has issues with getting good games cannot afford and will not change the hardware. and you noobs need to stop with the dreams of any real changes to the psp.

adding the large 32gb x2 micro sd adapter and camera does not need any modding cfw or otherwise.
i dunno i just dislike the go. umdless and smaller isnt for me. i bought the psp for its large screen. but hey there doing the 4000 to the go its just a different subset of psp so sony get credit there.
Well the screen looks way better than the psp 3000 no interlace problems.

the go does not have better hardware. it uses the same psp hardware just has internel memory no umd a non replaceable battery and a smaller screen.

actually it doesn’t “you dickhead”. PSP 2000/3000 have the same display resolution, RAM amount, CPU speed and battery voltage. The old PSP even has the same specs except for a 32 RAM amount instead of 64. Now unless having a sliding screen, a non-replaceable battery and bluetooth is considered an actual upgrade, I think you may need to smoke less weed so you can get your fact straight. dam poor-knowledge ass…

haha I will never buy the go no usb which= no gps or camera and no umd drive which is a biggie for me and i hate the slims they feel to cheap so I will always stick with my original psp 1000 ceramic white from japan.
it has usb but it uses it own cables now rather then mini usb. just so sony could charge you more for there cables.

a useless anlong none supports not even homebrew. the 2000 didnt have interlace issues that was a 3000 exclusive lol. i don’t try to put my psp in my pocket i got a nice case that straps on my pants.
the 2nd analogue takes place of the buttons (triangle, square, circle, x) thus it doesn’t need to be “supported” since it doesn’t have it’s own controls that need to be mapped.
Yo if you could swap out the NAND flash of the psp for a larger one let’s say 512mb to start and istall the CFW with pandora that would be sweet. This way if it works we could probably even run windows xp full speed. But I think the psp would get crazy hot though but try it out see what happens maybe it works.

Windows? That’s made for IBM/compatible harware (you know, x86 and stuff). Windows won’t ever recognize PSP hardware, let alone “full speed XP” doesn’t even exist even on a PC running at 333MHz.

I have to say, JoblessPunk this is a great idea. I can see a lot of people interested in this. Not many people have the know-how and providing them with something as simple as a faceplate and a second nub module would give them what they’re looking for it. It has promise!
I don’t know if there is anything I can do to help you out (kinda broke for donations atm, also 20 and lookin for jobs :P), but if you need some sort of odd job done, you can count me in.

I love the internal camera mod. Wish there was a higher-resolution camera I could install. Besides that, he seemed like he just did a bunch of mods from tutorials (second nub, 32GB SD, etc) and acted as if the ability to install emulators was something special.

i am working on it(making flash nand to atleast 1gb).and guess what i am succeded i did this with divx converter.i just connected psp with pc.and the psp 2000’s nand flash is 64 mb and i converted it into 1.28 gb.and my psp is opening all websites even full facebook site and mafia wars also.and now i am working on flash player 10 for psp.through which we all will be able to watch youtubes from http://www.m.youtube.com .

First I’m not dark Alex I’m just Alex and second i dont think you can convert a solid state NAND flash to higher memory the chip has to be swaped out compleatly for a higher capacity chip. But if you really want to try it go ahead and let me know how it works out.

i just created some softwares with the help of my uncle.it supports psp softwares.and what i have to do is just connect psp and it will say ‘this device can perform faster if u connect it to 2.0 usb slot’ now just connect it to 2.0 slot.and close atuplay.now open divx converter select open.select removable disk.but remember that u have to remove memory stick before connecting.and make the nand flash duable of its original and u will see it 1.28 GB. thats all……..
so what you are saying is that I can take my psp and with your software make the nanad 1.28 GB. and that will make my psp say surf fast as hell??
So what software do I need for this to work exactly?

my point is its been done and can be done without any mods. other then the second anlong witch you wont use. mapping it to the tringal etc buttons is well even worse then it not working at all. we deal with the hand sony dealt us no amount of very poorly done youtube videos is going to change that. rather then wast your skills on a psp that will never change why don’t you submit ideas for the psp2 design to sony they might Liston to you then.
