Video: The PSP Go Stripped Naked

greg | September 28, 2009

The iFixit crew always makes it interesting… Completely disassembled from the outer to the innards with a video slide show wrapped around: Sony’s PSPgo. You may want to keep this bookmarked should the GO get hacked by way of modchip or some other low-level means.

Hum along to this…

All you need is a Phillips #0 Screwdriver. A spudger and some iPod opening tools may come in handy as well; see the source.

Makes me sick they couldn’t increase the CPU speed a notch maybe not for in-game but at least for upgrades like adding more features in the OFW It self and maybe more ram? It really isn’t that much to ask for.

Oh well, This won’t be making it on my list any time soon to buy.

Props for the video’

They were too busy trying to make it smaller, lighter, and putting the analog stick in a bad place to even care.

Guys…I never really post on these forums. I always just kind of read around and see what’s going on. I just wanted to tell you there is a new strategy to solve the 3000 problem with loading newer firmware and may even work on the go. I am not really much of a homebrew developer, but me and my friends excel in working with c++, java, and linux programming. We have found a way to modify homebrew so the psp doesn’t reject it. Instead of trying to find a glitch in the firmware, we are just making it so the firmware sees the homebrew as “sony approved” and just runs. Hopefully from this we can run cfw enablers for higher firmware (if they are developed indeed and the bullshit fakes stop coming) to run on the psp 3000s. This is still in very early early development, but shoes promise of success. Video in 1 week once tested on psp.

Uh no….we haven’t really named ourselves. You know it’s people like you who really ward off groups who are trying to do legitimate work. I understand you are upset by those who have faked, I am too, but you really have no idea who I am. I don’t care if anybody believes me or not, in a week you guys will see. It’s your support now that determines if we stay active.

What a joke !!! All the investment I have made in my previuos PSP games, and there is no way to transfer them to the new PSP GO. Sony – you are dreaming. Why would anyone buy a PSP Go ?
