LightMP3 2.0.0 RC4 Released
greg | September 16, 2009
One thing for sure, you won’t be playing tunes from the XMB again, not once you LightMP3ify yourself… So the next time you’re strutting down the sidewalk jamming some beats, do it with Sakya’s LightMP3 2.0.0 RC4. For real — you won’t be disappointed.

Real quick: LightMP3 supports MP3, OGG Vorbis, ATRAC3+, FLAC, and WMA. Plus there are plenty of configurable options getting you the most bang for your [free] buck.
LightMP3 2.0.0 RC4 Changes:
- Added: Scrolling text when string is too long in all menus and song title
- Added: Setting to choose the tab to start from (START_TAB). Values:
- 0 = File browser
- 1 = Playlist
- 2 = Playlist editor
- 3 = Media Library
- 4 = Settings
- Added: Total number of frames red from Xing frame (faster opening of VBR mp3 file, if Xing is found)
- Fixed: Crash when seeking FLAC files
- Fixed: Navigation in the Media Library (when pressing circle you’ll be taken to the previous selection, not on the main menu)
- Fixed: Added setting to set CPU clock for WMA
- Fixed: Track restart when pressing L on WMA, FLAC, ATRAC3(+), MP3 when played with libMad
- Fixed: Suspend and resume for WMA
- Fixed: Changed the default setting to play MP3 with Media Engine
- Fixed: X/O button swap (please note that help screen will always say X=Confirm, O=Cancel, I didn’t changed it)
- Fixed: Bug when creating playlist from Media Library (the first 500 tracks were repeated)

thanks and keep good work
As awesome as this looks I think I’m going to stick with using iRShell.
I need a larger MS. I have the option of either games/apps or a part of my huge library of tunes. Grrr…
Get this…
http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=209974140&listingid=44875211
and two 16GB MicroSD cards
Is it not possible to implement some of the functions (support for other formats, sleep mode) into a prx plugin? That would be the best for me, and I wouldn’t have to start a hb everytime I want to listen to my music…
But Sakya, kudos for this awesome programm as it is.
A really useful homebrew.
I love the volume booster thing…when it’s at level 1. Any higher than that makes too much distortion.
Oh yea isn’t there some plugin you can use to start a certain homebrew app when you select a certain XMB icon? I’d like to map this program to the Music icon.
Also I just noticed a bug in the file browser. After listening to a song, I went back to my music selection and it wouldn’t display all my folders. So I went back outside my music folder, then back in, and when I tried to play another song it crashed my psp
Yet still no wireless stream. Is it just not possible?

Actually, probably more like this. I was thinking internet radio at first, then realized you probably meant from another PC.

“Fixed: X/O button swap”
WOO FINALLY :D
“Fixed: Crash when seeking FLAC files”
fingers crossed…thanks!
Great job, but I question the wisdom of having four release candidates. It kind of defeats the point of the first one actually ever being a candidate for release.
Works on PSP 3004 (5.03 MHU) ?
nice homebrew !!
it could be nice if the next release to have an equalizer for *.flac playback, and maybe an ingame(in-homebrew) equalizer editor :D
just my 2 cents
