DSONPSP BETA 7 Released: Nintendo DS Emulator Updated

Once again it’s Yoshihiro for the win… Yoshihiro’s PSP port of DeSmuME — the Nintendo DS emulator — just moved on up to BETA 7. Most notably it packs the familiar speed increase and for you SolidSnake117; Yoshihiro has implemented the ‘forgotten’ cursor.
DSONPSP BETA 7:
- Speed increase, again
- Use L & R for touch screen
- Cursor added with 2 colors: black or white.
- Frameskip set at 2 by default
- Fixed FPS counter as well
- Source code will be added on SVN soon

That’s not going to happen. The No$ series is:
1) Closed-source, so only the author could port it,
2) Written by someone with some pretty severe issues who thinks people will pay $2000 for a buggy emulator with some of the most ridiculous DRM I’ve ever seen, and
3) Written entirely in assembler, so porting it would basically be recreating the entire program.
Where in the goddamn fuck is your retarded ass getting $2000 from? From the $2 that he used to charge for the absolute latest version (which he would later release free after an update anyways) that would keep him from starving? Try putting that “$2000″ towards going back to school so you can muster up enough reading comprehension to look up what DRM means, because no$gba has absolutely none of it. The $2 version doesn’t even have use sort of registration key. And while it does have bugs, the author’s been missing for over a year and no$gba is still undeniably the best DS emulator out there, attesting to both the shittiness of other developers and the greatness of no$gba’s. Maybe if your stupid poor ass would have spared $2 while he was here, he wouldn’t be missing today and no$gba might have been perfect by now. You’re really need to give your organs to someone who deserves them.

I have a PSP 4000 with custom firmware 9.85m33-12. It’s the best you can get. I’m even capable of playing my PS3 games on it. xD Dead Space on PSP OWNS!!!!! (btw, i have plenty of time to waste so I decided to make fun of this guy. xD)

Damn that was FAST. I was messing with Beta 6 all night last night.
Now I feel kinda dumb for trying out so many games and deleting them only to have the next release come out a few hours later…
Oh well, I’ll try out whatever release is here next week lol. This guy is amazing with updates that fast. I’m sure it will be working at maybe 80% of full speed by the end of the year, maybe sooner.

I got a PSPGO Emulator running on my PS3, using linux. with the ability to download ISO torrents directly to PS3 HDD! keep up the good work Yoshihiro!!!!!
I think you failed a little there since there is a psp emulator and is in java so could be ported easily to the ps3 in linux. I’m not sure how well it would run though. (aka pspgo emulator = psp emulator)
Forgot to mention since I have a psp I don’t really follow the psp emulator much.

I didn’t really notice a speed boost in Yoshi Island, but that doesn’t mean there wasn’t any. Also, ty for the cursor!
and i ported no$ aruldy and it works 100% full speed and emulates everything. you cant have it its mine only for me. along with my 6.00mm3 firmware.

It’s wierd but for some reason Yoshihiro sounds similar to some old person from psp scene that started some very controversial stuff. But maybe it’s different, just sounds like it.

I have always wanted all of my entertainment on one portable device and I can do that with a psp. Also I hated almost every game I played on the ds when I got one before but there were a few games I thought were decent but not worth keeping the ds for. Also some newer games intrigue me and I want to try them out.
With my top one I probably will be switching to a pandora since it can do everything a psp can do plus much more and has about 4 times the battery life and twice the potential space. (64gb currently maximum) Also it has 2 thumb sticks and a keyboard also.
All things put aside, I don’t get why the developer doesn’t just use the SVN for development, instead of “putting it on SVN” in “batches”.

The evolution is clearly visible, I played the NDS homebrew Starlite with 20~25FPS.
Just a hint, don’t use trimmed or patched roms.
It it really worth it. Is it slow like every other emulator.
I one of fan of this program, i play digimon world dawn, at was on 35-40 FPS and low FPS was 15 i see it good and i wait for more speed, thanks alot and keep good work.
Really? because for me it was maxed out at 8FPS while choosing character and everything and after that max was around 12FPS…

I can’t get CoD:WaW or Zelda:Phantom Hourglass to work on this, it just stalls… do only certain games work at this point? I assume so.

The N64 emu isn’t trash, It works perfectly. You’re just too stupid to actually get this and the N64 emu to work properly. This emu is gonna go far and soon, we’ll be playing something like, I dunno, some fps game or a game that uses the touch screen most the time.
If you’re telling them to fix it so badly, and making it sound so easy,why don’t you just fix it then?

i tried the new mario and luigi, bowsers story or whatever its called, but it crashed because of the 3D water effect at the beginning :(
PLEASE add BASIC 3D support, even if it just forces the 3D to not render then i will be happy because it will let me get through this part of the game :)
