I noticed in the RECOVERY menu the kernel mode said 6.00. Is’nt this supposed to read 6.XX ? Also the fake region was set to debug 1. Tried to swap some rco files from a 5.55 dump but only bricked. Well, back to the drawing board.

Watch CLOSELY 3:30-3:36. You can see black boxes where the video was spliced together. They could keep the same audio track for continuity, to make the video seem unsliced.

I just caught something in the first video he said full ISO loading, then go to their youtube page and watch the latest video he says games don’t work.

- The “System Update” is still network update (and changed back?)

Well i would hope they wait until after the PSP GO hits the shelves, before releasing CFW for this, and not release it under pressure of the people who are whining and complaining that their game isn’t loading on their CFW.

There is a way to actually play newer games without a custom firmware update, I don’t know if anyone realizes this, but you have a hacked psp, you can do whatever you want with it, so make it think you’re actually running a newer firmware, not that hard.

anyway, here are the instructions when I played dissidia on m33 5.00-6, so if you want 6.00, instead of typing 5.50, type 6.00. This method is confirmed by the group KloWn

by the way, if you don’t know how to follow instruction’s, I suggest you go to your nearest doctor and order a brain pronto, since your probably gonna ruin your psp by playing around too much with flash0

Go into your recovery menu

2. Go to Configuration

3. Then go to XMB USB Device (currently: Memory Stick) and hit X until it shows: Flash 0

4. Then go down to Use version.txt (currently: Disabled) and hit X to Enable it.

5. Then go to Back and then Exit. Your psp will reboot.

6. Connect you PSP to your PC.

7. Go to your PSP’s memory stick in My Computer (it should show as Memory Stick)

8. Once in your memory stick, go to the VSH folder, then to the etc folder.

9. In here will be a version.txt. First we will need to make sure its not read-only, right-click on the file and go to Properties and uncheck the Read-Only attribute and hit OK. Now open the version.txt file, it will look like such:

10. all you need to do here is to change the release:5.00: to release:5.50: and then save the file.

11. Reboot your PSP and go back into the recovery menu. Change the XMB Usb Device back to Memory Stick afterwards. Leave the Use version.txt option Enabled.

People do know if you get the code to an already compiled CFW you can make the Version say anything you want. I can make mine say I’m on firmware 10.0 but that doesn’t make it actually that version of the firmware lol …..
