PSP Firmware 6.00 Release Imminent

According to ps3-sense.nl: PSP Firmware 6.00 is set for release very soon… I’m talking September 10th soon. And I’m making this next assumption based on ps3-sense’s word and Sony’s track record when it comes to new firmware releases; 6.00 may be available tonight at midnight or shortly thereafter. So keep your WiFi connected and your PSP in check.
PS3-Sense.nl even has the inside scoop on the supposed changes:
- PlayStation Store Games can now be grouped and displayed in folders based on their expire date under [GAME]
- Importing of playlists from the Media GO! applications is now supported under Music
- Under [Settings] > [Network Update] has been changed to [System Update]
- The number of Colors that can be selected under [Settings] > [Theme Settings] has been increased
- In [Display Panel Close Options] under [Settings] > [System Settings], the design for the [Standard] option has been changed
- The PSP GO! system can now connect to the Internet via a Bluetooth modem such as a mobile phone
At the current moment: Network/System Update is still serving up 5.51.

Does anyone know if Dark Alex is still in the PSP homebrew scene? He hasn’t released anything in a while.
Meh, read this before i came here. Still its nice to hear all I hope is that alex makes me a new shiny 6.00 M33 I is getting tired of 5.00 M33-6 its been around for almost a year now I want to change periodically and I don’t like gen it just seems like a rip off of 5.00 M33-6, many problems with it anyways so.. Still Dark_Alex is still around he would have announced something if he decided to quit, we would all like to believe he wouldn’t just destroy his PSP and leave it. In case on his wiki the site got shut off due to cost, not dark alex quitting the scene. Noticed many of you are under the impression he has quit, at most hes taking a break from it all I mean we gotta understand he is human too.
Also by the way the link to the wiki is on my name and if you wish not to trust my name the wiki news here says all you need to know.

Also if you doubt that Dark Alex has left the homebrew scene still they wouldn’t just shut down the forums they would also shut down the network if they were planning on leaving so, evidence says that he is still with us.

The numbers of colors that can be selected under [Settings] > [Theme Settings] has been increased.
It also carries the changes that the Phat PSP does.
Got 6.00 on my 3000.
Minor difference, the System settings button now looks more like a PSP go instead of its more elongated brothers.

what a great feature, that they changed the name of the Network update to System update, i have just been waiting so long for that FEATURE, i can’t wait to use it… wait a minute, if i update THEN it will have the feature, but i wont be able to FULLY use it until they come out with say..

hey guys……………i upgraded my version to 6.00 and now my games arent running………i had hacked my psp previously…….tell me if i have to do so once again and also is it possible to hack it to run the iso and .cso games

yeah, the recent upgrades will disable psp ability to play downloaded .iso or .cso games, also it can disable ‘wma enable’ for music tracks, the hack options are also unaccessable using the old method, like solid snake said, “we screwed ourselves with that one” :-x i find the ’senseme’ music feature silly, it doesnt associate my music with their respective genres at all, just puts everything into “newly added” from which i can only add to “favourites”
