LightMP3 2.0.0 RC3 Released
greg | September 6, 2009
It’s fully functional, it’s skinnable, it supports MP3, OGG Vorbis, ATRAC3+, FLAC, and WMA with a whole whack of configurable options — it’s Sakya’s LightMP3 2.0.0 RC3. I would suggest you look at the README for this one.

The changes, the download… It all follows…
LightMP3 2.0.0 RC3 Changes:
- Added: When pressing L the song will restart if more than 2% has been played
- Added: support for relative path in playlists
- Added: support for WMA (Windows Media Audio)
- Many thanks to cooleyes and hrimfaxi for the sample
- Added: “Sleep Timer” feature (kurian2z5)
- Added: Bookmark function (for audiobook): press L+Circle while listening to a track.
- There’s a new option in the settings file.
- SHUTDOWN_AFTER_BOOKMARK=0
- The default is 0, if set to 1 the psp will shut down after creating a bookmark.
- The next time you’ll start LightMP3 will ask you if you want to load the saved bookmark.
- Fixed: standardized the fast forward/rewind speed for the different codecs (kurian2z5)
- Fixed: Conflict with Hold+ (kurian2z5)
- Added a setting to disable the “display off on hold”.
- If you use Hold+ please disable this in LightMP3.

one of the best music players for the psp
cwfe compatible? looks sweet btw
works on my 5.50 GEN-B (Slim)
are we able to go back and browse songs while listening to a song or does it still stop it as soon as we go back?
Finally! I can use my PSP as a media player that’s useful! I wanted to use OGG as my primary for a long time but until I buy a Cowon S9, this will have to do. Thanks man!
noob it does ….it still stops if you want to browse
wow!!!this is so coolni never tried the previous version =( but i like this player. just add of visualizer and something for lyrics then it will be perfect.
when a played a song
a blue page is shown that
my psp is crashed
o to exit
what is that problem
is it a bug?
better be careful man! we call that here the blue screen of death! when that happens. you’re close to brickin your psp. so better watch it!
that’s not true, man. it doesn’t do anything to the flash so it would be quite imposible for it to brick your psp
wutta noob
wutta noob; its an ingame bsod, not an flash1 xorruption one.
even flash1 corruptions arent close to bricking but that must of been what he thought lol
All it means is the program crashed. Can’t hurt anything.
haha. very =D sorry to bash but wow! made my day =D
What about wireless support so I don’t have to copy files to the MS?
I don’t think so but thats a good idea if you could use the itunes bonjour service then your psp could essentially be a air tunes base station
Nice to see an update for this one. Big thanks to the developers. I will definitely check this out….
I’ve been using GMGearMX instead of LightMP3 to play FLAC files on PSP because with previous versions, LightMP3 would crash upon trying to search / fast forward. It looks like that’s been fixed in version so I do hope it actually works.
LOVE IT!!
works with 5.03gen-a :)
