yes i know where off topic but i did the research and indeed you need 5.55 to run soul calibur which makes me really sad. when it comes out in canada i’ll probably actually buy it even if it is hackable thats a umd i would like to own right beside my gof of war and patapon :p

Technically it is related, because 5.55 is already hacked, but because it is the new PSPGo’s firmware, they are waiting to release it, trying to find a way to hack the PSPGo so when it is released we will be able to hack it when we buy it (if you plan on buying one, me still undecided, even if it gets hacked)

I hope its not for quite a while, then maybe we might get some decent titles being released, as having each console hacked is scaring away the games developers, if this continues, we are going have very expensive doorstops with nothing to play on them.
So stop the hacking, and let the consoles flourish first.
That way we all win & the games developers will continue making AAA titles for us all.

Which is why the PS1, PS2, and Xbox 360 were just utter failures and had developers running for their lives right?
PS1 had game enchancers and mod chips.
PS2 had HD Loader, mod chips, and the swap trick.
Xbox 360 has the ability to play backup games off the hard drive as well.
Get some real facts to backup your statement before you go spewing out random percentages.

Use your eye’s mate, look in any games store on the PSP’s shelf, do you see any great games apart from God of War & Resistance on there, Mmm well, there’s your answer, there are new titles coming out finally, and only because they will be using a firmware that is not hacked yet 5.55 OFW, and maybe even higher by the time GT Mobile comes out.

Why do you think the PSP Go is download only, so as to block piracy as well, and don’t forget this also stops secondhand games from ever being sold to shop’s, so they will lose out, only being able to sell the consoles.

Well it goes both ways I think. I never would have bought a PSP if it wasn’t hackable. Let’s face it, hand-helds have a limited amount of decent titles anyways. But it’s these titles AND the ability to play all my ps1 games and SNES games (among all the homebrew and other cool shit) that was the selling point for me.

but to me it looks as if playing a gam would kind of difficult when using the analog stick, (for people who have large hands, makes using the analog nearly impossible…also from the pictures everything seems very compact, the buttons, kinda close..how i see it.

I dont want the go to be hacked for a while that way we can see some good games come out soul calibur is gonna be effin awesome. the only thing im curious about is will they continue to make umds for all the games that come out on the psp go? im a 3000 owner and i dont wanna have to go get a 16gb stick just to start runin offical games cause they stop umd production
I am not sure about that mate, i wish i knew, maybe for a while lets hope so anyway, because not everyone has the internet, so may only be able to use UMD’s.
lets just hope. i wouldnt mind the 16gb stick and it would make sense to put all the games on a stick so u dont have to carry umds but you can’t always rely on technology. what if my pspgo gets surrupted some how would you lose all the games you payed for and downloaded ? these things need to be looked at i dont think umd removal was the smartest idea on sonys part even tho the homebrew community does use the memory stick to run games primarily i would like to no that if need be i can go get a hard copy

Its just sad isnt it, when slim was coming to be sold, there was so much hate about how an epic fail it was and stuff like that… Now its the PSPgo! that recieves the same comments… People, open up and broaden up your narrow views a little more please. If you like it, spin it. If you dont, bin it. There is no need to flame about how an epic fail or epic success it is going to be because at the end of the day, we all know that people are going to buy it and people are going to hack it. There is nothing you can do about it.
