PSP Firmware 5.55 Still Vulnerable to MOHH Exploit

Potentially some good news… Let me take you back to July 8th when the Medal of Honor: Heroes exploit by kgsws was showcased. Well, firmware 5.55 — currently shipped with G.I. Joe The Rise of Cobra UMD and select other titles — remains vulnerable to said exploit. Check it out:

its been days since the firmware has been released and you are asking for a custom firmware of it…. man you guys are dumb it takes at least a month for one to be released because it needs to be tested before it emerges to the public but heck for the impatient guys would like a early leak of the custom firmware and end enjoy the end result is bricked psp…
this method isnt for custom firmware anyways its to allow downgrading the firmware and similar functions so users dont need or cant use a pandora to get chicken hen or custom firmware to run
the custom firmware is when the official firmware is decrypted and its files modified and recoded to work as a custom firmware
We Pandora users could care less if our PSP bricks, making us some impatient players.
of course people are waiting for new cfw, assuming they bought latest umd game which requires 5.50. and people with psp-3000 or ta88v3 are of course eager for 5.50 cfw enabler.
5.00 m33 came 2 days after the offical firmware and only had minor fixes afterward, mainly about bugs so no it does not take a month to make cfw
WHy the hell does every cover their MAC address? It’s not like we can do anything with anyone elses MAC Addresses.
Sony can block the MAC address

they wouldn’t do that, they aren’t gonna waste their times blocking mac addresses. ppl hide their mac because they see other ppl doing it…most of the time.
MAC address is more like the wifi module serial number, but it can’t be changed. People are thinking that IF sony wanted to block it, they can. However i dont think they have done it yet.
Sony wont block the MAC address. It can be easy change is wanted.
the reason people do this is so that some jackass can wait till that psp is on the net and brick it but doing stuff like that now is pointless……unless you a paranoid psp 3000 owner

Awesome. I’ve got a brand new PSP-3000 that I upgraded to firmware 5.51 the day I got it without really thinking too much about modding the thing. Hope we get a new ChickHEN or a downgrader or something soon.

download the exploit,copy savedata to X:\PSP\SAVEDATA\,run mohh,change profile to kgsws_<t,go to multiplayer, adhoc, create game,IMPORTANT: DONT CHANGE ANY SETTINGS,turn down, pick grenade, and kill yourself, EXPLOITS WORKING
and also copy bin folder, and hx file to mem stick root

Hello. I live in europe & bought a MOHH (1) game, European version. I’ve read a lot of things, specially in ur site. I got psp 3001, version 5.51. tried exploit v2 but couldnt manage this. read info.txt but it only says
“What you need:
- NON-CFW PSP
- this archive … but you have it, don’t you?
How to do it:
- backup your MOHH savegame (if any)
- copy entire ms0 folder to memstick root
- run MOHH
- do not change any setting
- create AdHoc game
- sucide – try rocket, that’s fast ;)
Important:
- do not change any setting! :)
- this is not savegame exploit, savegame just hold all important data to do get name exploit working.
- if there is something bad in english, correct me :)”
anywsay, then I realized there could be a problem in European MOHH. Can u help me pls?
I too have the same problem, i have a psp 3000 with 5.51 fw, and i have european version of mohh part 1 and part two. Neither of them finds the savegame.
Is there a work around this?
btw, i have a psp phat, i hacked it myself using pandora
ok, Ive tried several things. First, the exploit’s save game name starts as “ULUS”, but europian copies save game starts “ULES” so I’ve changed name, put several different things, my best solution was “corrupted data”. Anyway, I think there is no way to use MOHH exploit in europian copies. I’m still angry & sad.
