The more mods, the merrier — especially this one… Today it’s all about NickyP and his new MegaMan inspired OpenBOR mod.
Inspired by the 8-bit Nintendo era and the Power Battle/Fighters arcade classic comes The Power War Episode 1. Here, let me quote Nick –
My idea for this mod was inspired by the MegaMan: Power Battle/Fighters games for the arcade. I had always wished they were 3 or 4 players instead of 2, so the original plan was to just make a remake of Power Battle/Fighters and have 4 player support. However, my love for everything 8-bit kicked in, and that’s when I decided I would instead remake all of the NES MegaMan games, with Power Battle/Fighters inspired gameplay. The result is, well, what you’re about to play in a few minutes!

mega man is great but there is already so much mega man for psp already but sweet
any screens or videos?
I’m like total newb to OpenBor… After I launch the app… how to I run this… Don’t I need to get some 3rd party software into the directory like OpenTTD?
After launching OpenBOR, highlight the pak you want to play (in this case, MPW1.pak), and press the Start button (if on PSP). Then, let the game load, and play!
Thanks man. I was trying to find the pak file and this whole time I just had to look one level higher in the folder. and I never thought about that lol. Thanks dude :P
of course just when my psp and memory stick decide to stop liking each other
You can always grab the PC version of OpenBOR and play it that way.
thats true guess i might as well since i want to try it out
looking forward to the other episodes… :)
