Awesome. But does this resolution restriction mean we can’t play 720p videos in the .mkv format?
Probably not That would be like getting N64 emulators to work on the PSP, it could probably be done but not several years of optimizing
It’s a nice app in extending the basic playback of the PSP. But in the practice you’ll still need to convert your videos to a compatible file type; so in the end not a lot really changes.
Yeah, but it’s a LOT easier to do in MKV than in MP4. ;)
I’m a little confused over just what is the advantage here. What is the point of playing 720×480 videos on a device that’s only 480×270? For the TV out option?
Now if it would play AVI too I would be set!
looks like it never played my anime mkvs…wat a shame -_-
Awwww that’s why I was about to download it. XD
yeah me too that time…i was about to try Kanokon mkv, then…loading….then didn’t work XD
every mkv file i tried doesn’t work.. why?
even us on our anime mkvs….maybe needed improvement is say….
the app doesnt start on my psp. when in the game, theres a black screen and the ms red light keeps flashing like its loading but nothing comes after minutes of waiting, any help pls?
This is actually pretty useful, at least for Youtube videos. HQ Youtube vids are in MP4 form, but putting it in the VIDEO folder alone won’t work. With this program you don’t need to bother converting it, it just plays the video which is great. Saves me a lot of time.
It doesn’t want to play my subtitles. They’re in .srt format and have the same filename as the movie, and is in the same directory. But it won’t work anyway, damn.
seem da mkv frmat still not support, but i did like the apps intrface…i hope there is update fr mkv full support, btw good job
it doesnt work on PSP3000 Gen-A Full.
older version (3.0.0) does work.
i second that prog is loading but mkv file never play on psp3000 gen-a full :(
i just tested a mp4 and it’s working but laggy so i tester 266 cpu clock and its working like a charm now
so it work for mp4 on psp3000 gen-a full
if anyone got a mkv working with gen-a please let us know how you did :)
Does this mean that it supports divX in the mkv format?
It’s most likely an incomplete project from the looks of it… Darn shame too… I wanted to try watching some animes (mkv format) on it too… :(
same here…-_-
I’ve been using an old version of PMPmod for a while now. Going to try this out.
There is nothing special here other than supporting an MKV container for already supported codecs. PSP can play all those specifications already natively.
Can someone please get to work on a divx/xvid player already, it’s wayyyyy overdue in my opinion.
