Bookr-Mod 20090701 Released: An Enhanced PDF/DJVU/TXT Reader
greg | July 2, 2009
Around 12 hours ago, on one of the best party days in Canada, a new version of the enhanced Bookr was released. What’s new? I’m not sure — no change log was provided. So whatever the changes, you’ll figure it out — it’s in your hands now.

First doods
I’m not going to insult you because I’m not as low as some of the other morons on this website. However, I will say I find it amusing that you take pride in posting the 1st comment.
Just bait :]
Unfortunately you are above that >_>
There’s always next time though lol
www gameinciter com
Haha, I suspected that it was troll bait.
Without a doubt one of the best apps for the PSP, glad to see updates/ mods of the original that make it even better.
Chadyo
thanks
@Shawn
Are You the Dev. that released this? If so you are welcome for the compliment, and PLEASE keep up the great work.
Chad
Now it runs on 5.50 GEN-A/B and PSP-3000 with homebrew enabled.
I take that as the changelog;
Added support for 5.50 GEN and ChickHEN.
It would be so good if they could use the high memory mod instead of the usual 1.5 mb. It would be even cool if there was some sort of cache folder in the memory stick to replace the 32 mb. Sadly, I don’t know when that is going to happen. :(
there was released some sort of plugin hat allowed the homebrew to use full memory of the psp-it’s from the same team that made the psptube hight mode and the internet browser to use full 64 mb ram-you should look for it.
The HighMemMod only works in the Internet Browser.
im just wondering why there are allways updates for bookr like every other week almost and never updates for games a mean bookr is cook but there isn’t much use at least to me to read a pdf on my psp i will say tho that this is probably one of the most professional looking homebrews out but i want gammes and devs need to make more updates to games like adding multi player to stuff and shit like that
Yeah, none of that reading bullshit, reading is for pussies and hippies! And hippy pussies!
I hope you mean it as a joke. Regardless of occupation (policeman, veterinarian, farmer, etc) people who read are generally smarter. Like Jim Rohn said, there’s nothing worse than being stupid. Unless you’re broke. Can’t go wrong with that… Unless you’re sick. That’s the ultimate: dumb, broke and sick. :) Unless you’re ugly !
I think the hippie thing kind of gave the joke away, man. :P
youre an idiot
Sigh more idiots. Why can’t you read twat face?
Oh dear god, this is amazing. You got the joke to fly over not 1, but ~3~ people’s heads! This is just too dear…
I’m just curious-you know that the devs who make homebrew are very different people from these that make games. There isn’t any relesion. Why you think is bad to be able to read pdfs on you psp|-) Idon’t get the point-like winnie the pooh says:”The more you have ,the more you have”:)
@ sam:
You seriously have no life; reading makes people smarter and it isn’t boring; and if you care for CFW and such updates, then go and learn how to create an new CFW every
**bleep**ing week!
i actually do read but ive ever seen a book in the pdf form all i was saying was that i wish more games came out i didt meen that this dev makes games or anything and i understand that some people may use there psp to read stuff but ik most people use there psp for games not reading and mabey if they sold books in pdfs or if this was compatible with kindle also i dont see it bad that i can read a pdf on my psp its just what am i going to read on it a owners manual to somthing its good to have it but there are very few uses for a pdf reader for the psp and like i said before i think this is one for the best made homebrews out… i guess what im realy trying to say is i wish the devs making games put more time and effort to make there games be as awesome as this
I went to the fireworks. The ones in Saskatoon kinda sucked tho:( Although most things do out here so I don’t really care haha. Happy Canada Day!!!
Changelog, please? :)
there is none. just listen to greg
Changelog:
* More CFWs supported and bugs fixed
* Support for Custom Firmware 5.50 and PSP3000 with HEN
* Some small bugs have been fixed.
Look at this way: For $300+ you can get a kindle from amazon or Sony, or you can use this application and read whatever you want. To readers this is the best homebrew app out there; the creator should be praised. If you don’t read why are you even posting comments to a BOOK APP (with awful grammar)?
but were can u buy a book in any of the suported formats i may be wronge but i dont think bookr can read kindle files
First off,… love the app! I had tried previous version of Bookr and it wouldn’t load most of the .pdfs that I threw at it.
I just tried this version, and it loaded every .pdf that I tried (about 10 or so).
I don’t know if this is the place to make suggestions or not, but here goes:
When you press the ‘Select’ button and choose something like ‘Fit to Width’, the menu should close – instead of having to hit the ‘Select’ button again.
Also, I’d love to see a feature like ‘Default View’ where it will always load the next page in a specific view (eg; ‘Fit to Width’).
Just my 2¢…
ye good suggestions, but i noticed that for first time users, like me, if you hadn’t used bookr before and press the square button on the menu interface, which seemingly is suppose to take you to your last selected pfd file for viewing (and/or txt file, etc) the PSP crashes and re-sets itself.
I would like to see this glitch corrected, as i am a 2000 user with a tav003 motherboard, and i find it a hassel to go through CHICKHEN again.
Thank you for the app and hope future generations fix this bug. Thank you
Thank you for your feedback.
This issue will be addressed in the next release.
Thanks!
What’s even-odd mode do?
Some PDFs have different left margin size in even pages and odd pages. This even-odd mode will remember the horizon position of them respectively.
the last version seemed completely perfect to me. its great for reading PDF books
the app doesn’t run on custom 5.50 gen b
how i can run it ?
Sam
