PsJournal BETA 0.1 Released *Updated*

greg | June 24, 2009

Update: TheCraziness1 has issued a quick bug fix –

A small bug was reported with some people not being able to read their entries if they added the second section of text while writing. This bug has been fixed. Enjoy and sorry for the inconvenience.

Keep your innermost darkest and filthiest secrets hidden from those around you with TheCraziness1’s PsJournal. It’s a password protected electronic journal allowing you to keep your memoirs safe and secure, for the most part… It’s not foolproof; the password is stored in the pass.lua file (in plain-text) and can easily be changed if the potential intruder is in the know and has USB access. Nevertheless — it’s worth checking out.

PsJournal BETA

You may also take a gander at ZX-81’s PSPWrite. It’s compatible with an iR Keyboard should you be a homebrew-enabled PSP-1000 (Fat) owner.

It freezes up if you goto the Program Options and I cant even select an entry because it freezes so I cant read what I write, Im not even shure if it saved. The password works great though!

Might I suggest saving EVERYTHING in binary format? you could also encrypt the text. Find some sort of encrypting algorithm. I would suggest just use the characters ascii value printed out and read the value back in for loading and interpret the ascii value of it to display on screen…

Just a thought.
Haven’t even tried it yet tho xD

Exactly what I was going to suggest. Lua is an easy language, writing an encryption code would not be difficult at all.
