Released in its beta stage — for the new Custom Firmware 5.50 GEN-A users — an unofficial version of Poison’s CXMB.
CXMB enables the use of custom created PSP (CTF) themes without writing to the PSP’s flash memory. Try it out and voice your experience via the comments. Remember, this is beta.

Now that I’m done ripping on you (YES YOU KNOW WHO U ARE) I must say updating to 5.50GEN is very tempting but so is staying at 5.00m33 anyways cool to see that everything is being updated as Sony trys to stop the homebrew scene ;)
so will this work on psp 3000 and does this play iso
This is a THEME enabler, so no.
Anyway, doesn’t seem to work properly for me.

Thats because most themes have been designed for 5.00. With every new firmware, new themes must be designed,as they will not work with any other firmware. also, CTF’s must be patched to work on GEN, so you must download that as well
I’ve already used specifically designed 5.50 GEN-A themes and followed the official instructions.
In the end, this is just a beta. I’m sure the final version will work fine.

The bad of this is that the themes will now have offsets or show missing icons due to 5.50.
This does not work . Must take the cxmb.prx from Custom Firmware 5.50 GEN-A Build 4 Released: CFW for the PSP-1000 & 2000 download below the IDOL 2 pictures. Is is in the UPDATE folder. Then copy it over in the CXMB folder on ms0. Also very important must manually type name of theme in conf.txt file or will not show up. This only works with 5.50gen themes and not 5.00m33 themes as far as 10 minutes ago.

i tried it but it wont work. i had a CXMB when my psp was still a 5.00 m33-6 that worked but this one does not work.
do i need a CTF for a 5.50 gen a or something pls hellp me
yes the cxmb.prx file needs 2 be replaced by the new one inside the update folder in the 5.50 gen build 4 download on the home page. dont forget to check my link for 5.50gen ctfs. and must type name of theme in conf.txt file. Then power off the system completely then back on again. Let me know. im here to help .
where must i put folder cxmb ?
u must put the cxmb folder in the root of your memory stick. then place the new 5.50 gen build 4 cxmb.prx file inside that cxmb folder. cxmb folder should come with a conf.txt file. and that is where u must put the name of your ctf xcactly how it is in the PSP/THEME folder. of course u must do a hard reboot for the theme 2 show up. IM always here to help.
i put the new prx. in the cxmb folder and the name in the CONF text is correct and i did a hard reboot and nothin’ it was the Clear XMB v1b ctf file. So I was wondering I went to the plugins folder too and nuthin
what kind of model psp do u have ? where did u get your prx file from ?did u get the clear xmb ctf file in your PSP/THEME folder? u must get the prx file from the other download down lower on the home page underneath the idol 2 contest pictures. it is the all in one 5.50 gen build 4 cfw package only for 1000 and 2000. the new prx should be in that UPDATE folder. U must get ctfs made for 5.50gen and so far this method dont work with 5.00m33 ctfs like i mentioned before. Im really hope im explaining it well and hope all get it 2 work .KEEP IN MIND THIS IS FOR 1000 and 2000 FLASHABLE PSPS SO FAR AS I KNOW ! and as always im here 2 help.

DAX is sleep but GEN is work and well i see this guys work real hard and we know nobody is perfect but with this temps GEN must be a NO1 in the future. Yep its true he has much bugs with his stuffs but the other fact is ”peoples learn from his self wrong’s” right :)

and dont forget to enable the cxmb.prx plugin on the new gen recovery menu which is accessed the same way as M33CFW.
My PSP sucks. I have only 10 MB left on my Memory Stick Duo, and I can’t download Custom Firmware onto my PSP. Plus, I can’t find a reliable CWcheat source anywhere, and I can’t download the database for most. If anyone can give me a link to get CWcheat AND Custom Firmware please tell me!!!

i have a psp-1000, and for some reason, after upgrading to 5.50 GEN-A, all my CTF themes won’t work, the slim colour patch doesn’t work, cannot acccess to flash drive and i cannot even access my wifi internet, i confirmed that the wep key is correct and i still cant connect, it saids “A connection error has occurred. The attempt to obtain the IP address timed out. Connection Name – ______ SSID – ________. I tried using hellcat’s recovery flasher and downgrade back to 5.00 M33-6 but still no help. Any suggestion? please help, much appreciated.
