PSPHUGO v1.3.0: PC Engine/TurboGrafx 16 Emulator Updated
greg | May 29, 2009
Another console I grew up on — NEC’s TurboGrafx 16. Others may remember this console as the PC Engine, whatever the case, it packed serious hours of awesomeness. And just today — ZX-81 delivers a few more hours with PSPHUGO v1.3.0 — a port of the famous Hu-Go emulator running on a variety of platforms.

PSPHUGO v1.3.0 changes…
- Audio Track support for CD-ROM (support only MP3 format with stereo 16 bits samples at 22k or 44k rate)
- CD-ROM TOC file format support.
- Using TurboRip, ripped CD can now be used directly with PSP-Hugo! See README file for explanations)
- Increase PSP clock speed when playing mp3 CD tracks
- Disable sound while saving states & screenshots (to avoid scratchy noise for few seconds)
- Fix sleep mode issue
- Replace SDL sound engine by direct PSP audio stuff to improve performances
- Fix issue when loading more than one CD image
- New backgrounds
My apologies to Mike D for frying your TG-16 power supply back in the day.

I remember that bonk’s adv. game on my turbo grafx 16. I made it to the forest level and died.
Does this work on the PSP 3000?
BONKS ADVENTURE!
bonk was just one great game. remember splatterhouse? keith courage? legendary axe…. the list goes on. tg16 was a console that should’ve lived a very long life.
