Custom Firmware Enabler v2.10 Released: Now With POPS Support!

One for the weekend… Have at it with Xenogears and Becus25’s Custom Firmware Enabler v2.10. Not only will you get the satisfaction of utilizing your UMD backups, you now get POPS (PSOne emulation) support.
And before you ask –
No, ISO/POPS does not work with PSP-3000 models.
How to enable POPS –
- Download FW 5.00 and PSARDumper
- Start PSARDumper and decrypt the 5.00 EBOOT
- Copy “pops.prx” and “popsman.prx” from the F0 directory to your memory stick under PSP/GAME/CFWEnabler/Pops
- Enable the option, “Enable Pops Support” from CFWEnabler
Custom Firmware Enabler [translated] changes…
2.10:
- Fixed a problem when you change settings for the plugins
- Fixed internal problems
- Fixed a problem that caused a crash accessing plugins and when no plugins are installed
- Improved detection of release
2.02:
- Fixed a bug in the installation of the POPS (The PRX MD5 is different in each PSP, which is why the test works, but not in the other consoles)
2.01:
- Fixed a bug that did not detect a previous installation (caused that could not be installed above the new version)
2.00:
- System POPS native activation
- System configuration Custom Firmware
- Verification MD5 of files that are installed in flash, if you have not installed either, re-install
- Nice interface
- Safety flashes unnecessary
- Protection from ChickHEN load the Custom Firmware. It is necessary that ChickHEN is in a folder called “ChickHEN” inside PHOTOS or PICTURES
- Changed version of the system (now shows 5.03 M33)

No, think about it. The 3000 has its own modules. Since DAX hasnt made CFW for 3000, no 3000 M33 modules exsist. There going to have to develop there own.
Hopefully, DAX will help.
It shouldn’t be long, considering DAX has decrypted the 3000 specific modules already
so no pops but what if i went on ps store bought a psone game on a 3000. can it still play ps1 games? Hehrow?

first install cfwe 1.0 and then again run 2.10 and install it again -it would work
In order to have custom firmware you have to overwrite files in flash 0 since that is where the firmware is.
How would I do that?

place the ISO/CSO into ms0:\iso\
then go to game and run them.
make sure ur on custom firmware for this to work.

well, it seems this version doesnt want to work with my psp. It comes up with “your PSP is not a 2000 model” but clearly it is. I run the first version fine and load ISO with no problems. Only reason I’m trying this version is because its new and maybe there are some bug fixes since i get some crashing on some ISOs. I dont know whats wrong but I’m going to stick to version 1 for now, thx for all the hard work though. I really miss my PHAT.
phats suck they weight like 200 grams more but their built like biatchs which is one thing good

do i have to reinstall chickhen cfw enabler even with this new version every time i turn of my psp? i’m always in sleepmode with cfw enabler v1.0….Respect all psp hackers..good work.Without you we wont be able to play isos so many thanks from Sweden.Sorry for my speling my english is not so god

what did i do wrong?i did everything and enabled pops patch and everything seems to be ok in CFWEnabler menu…
with 1.0 it used to work

it takes a few tries for me, so it might be the same for you as well.

the chickhen does work some times, but i was never able to use plug-ins.
i would like to play some nes and psone games…
with cfwe you can use plugins and play ps1 games
This is very interesting. On my friend’s psp 2000 ta-88v3 it could run plugins if you just add like: ms0:/seplugins/hold.prx in vsh.txt or game.txt and put the prx file in seplugins,they instantly work :D. I’m impressed.

I start up this new version (got 1.0 installed since earlier) while in chickhen but it tells me that I don’t have a PSP-2000 though I’m running it on a 2000. Anyone else got the same problem? Perhaps a solution?

NVM, it turns out that the chicken modded version’s folder needs to be change to “ChickHEN” like stated in version 2.00,

U HAVE A MOTHERBOARD THATS V3 (FORGET THE FULL NAME) U HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL A PSP 3000 COMPATIBLE VERSION COME OUTS.

Can someone tell me does this chickHEN r2 and CFW Enabler v2.10 for ChickHEN works on psp phat and is it the same way mine is psp 2000 with TA88v3 but my bro has psp 1000, can i chickHEN him too?
Doesn’t work with ChickHEN Mod. Says it’s not a 2000 model. It HAS to be ChickHEN R2.
after installing chickhen r2 and not being able to run psx games, i deleted all the files and now my psp freezes when I attempt to run an iso/cso. It freezes at the PSP white screen and then turn off. Help!!!
well, unfortunately your PSP will not be functioning any time soon..you must have deleted some files off flash0..which is idiotic and still idiotic..good luck.
No matter which ChickHEN I run, it still says my PSP isn’t a 2000. Does anyone know what the problem is? I’ve looked through all the comments and just haven’t found anything to fix this.

Now, none of them even boot, I gte various errors..
Any Ideas on how to reverse what i did or get POPs to work again, at all.. or at least point me to where i should be looking, I’m not much of a forum user.. thanks
ok, cancel my last, I worked it out on my own…
Used Logic and extracted the pops and popsman from the same eboot I had currently loaded at the time which was 5.03
