awsome i used to play this great game, thanks for the guide :)
Ok. but why would you want to? There are much better controls just playing it on the PC
cuz it as my first rpg game :)
Same with me!
Now it isn’t really any good, but imagine using this with nethost… like remote play, but for windows. THAT would be cool
so u can lay down and play it, instead of sitting at a desktop or laptop. sure it isn’t perfect but think of the applications it can have toward other games =D
i get the wireless option but who in there right mind will play this game on the psp when sitting there connected to the pc? just play it on the frickin pc where you are already sitting. Hell I know one idiot who will sit in his computer chair playing psp and using emulators on the psp, I say hey stupid your pc is on and the emulators are there with a bigger screen wtf people. But what an idea dor a great game.
Lol, good old PSPdisp. I’ve been playing round with it for the last few releases.
PSPdisp + No$gba = Nintendo DS on PSP!
XD. Granted, its not exactly practical, but it still works!
Hmm… one thing I havent tryed…… Crysis WarHead… on PSP? ;) Gotta try that out.
Lol, that’s a great idea :)
made me laugh at the thought of it.
Nice app,
too bad the picture in all games I tried is sort of flashing + movies don’t work.
That corrected, a faster mouse, music(which is probably too much to ask for) + option to use it over the internet and you’ve got yourself the best PSP app of all time!
and people said PSPdisp was useless… poor ignorants… :\
NO YOO IGNANT
typical downer, the world needs less of them… IMA FIRIN MAH LAZ0R!!!! :O=====
Holyhell does this really only work with psp-2000s? This is worthy enough to upgrade my phat alone.
It should work on a fat, although I don’t have a fat to test it.
LOL HELL YEAH
I’ll waste some time doing this for the hell of it. I’ve been playing this game for forever since it came out in 2000.
Even got it running on my old T20 laptop before I sold that off and got a T500.
Yeah I’ll waste some time, why not.
Thanks JoblessPunk.
If you played D2-LoD you proberly know d*jsp(D2 trading), where you can play a browser based hack&slay. (Ladderslasher)
Ive did exactly the same (remote controll) for this game, because I wasnt intrested in d2 anymore after the ban-wave :(
Soooooo, you make your PsP function as a second monitor for your PC. Sit in front of your computer playing on a smaller screen with crappier controls…. impressive, but what’s the point?
point is, let the people who enjoy it use it and then u can just sit around wondering what the point of everything is. o_0
kind of dumb…
it don’t work in my vista.
It shows the screen on my psp and stuff, but when I go to click single player, my mouse wont move
Hmm, I only have Windows XP. But make sure you have selected Diablo II as the controls and you copy and pasted the code correctly.
@Crippler
Yeah, I see what you’re saying. I basically did this because I could… I’m not saying I hacked anything or figuring out a new exploit.
I could see this being useful if you use the Wlan. For an example if you want to sit in the living room, or outside your house and you only have a desktop.
Until PSPDisp is updated and (hopefully) you can view your Desktop via the internet will this be 100% portable.
I made sure I did everything correctly and it still doesn’t work…….
Does anyone else have problems with this on vista?
I don’t have vista, and I assumed that since the program could be installed on Vista it wouldn’t have a problem.
What exactly is your problem? maybe I could help you out.
What I’m seeing most people are hung up on is they either don’t enable the program — right click the taskbar icon > Enable — or they don’t select the Diablo II controls — right click the taskbar icon > Control > Diablo II
Hopefully someone else that has Visa can point you in a better direction…
I can move the mouse pointer with my psp until I start Diablo 2. Then it wont move or click. I even tried to turn my psp on AFTER I started diablo 2. Same result. I can see the d2 screen on my psp, the mouse won’t work
The point is that you can play D-2 while to say eating dinner in the other room? in the bathroom while your taking a holy crap, ignoring your elders theres alot of things you can do! think out side the box :)
————————————–
Look at the bright side! is that a cloud? ☻
Its not a bad app … there are some limits tho.
no SOUND … so WTF .. play it through the pc’s speakers
Now you can use this to play any pc game well, just remember to set the pc’s resolution to 800×600 and it should be find, I tried it with C&C Generals, Counter Strike, etc.
Now this app would be Sweet if it could do like remote play, and turn on&off pc, sound through the psp, and a faster mouse respond.
…I don’t think anyone has figured out how to make audio go threw the USB…
Ifyou know how to configure scan keys you can adjust the speed of the mouse.
I just don’t see the point of this… Why the fuck would I want to play it on my PSP sitting right in front of my computer… when I can just play it on the computer itself…?
Cause it has wireless… watch the whole video and the guy unplugs it…. making Diablo available as far as your wifi will reach… best example is while on the toilet… or laying in bed… If it didn’t have wifi then it would be almost pointless, unless your monitor was broken.
Ok i see some people bitching about the keyboard mapping control, so was I lol!
Heres how you can map your own code!
First off you need scancodes of the keyboard. Heres the website i found that shows ‘em: http://terpconnect.umd.edu/~nsw/ench250/scancode.htm
Use the second chart and it shows the key along with the scan code, always use the bottom set of codes, aka the HEX versions.
You can actually use any chart their but i used the 2nd one =]
Now to map the controls go to the C:> program files>pspdisp>bin>app and open the re4 file with notepad. In the text control file you will see the psp buttons linked to a keyboard button. get the HEX scan code for the keyboard button you want from the website i gave you and type it in. Btw the typematic should be set to “0″ (off) because if its at “1″ it will spam the key >.<
Now for example if u want to set the R trigger to press “=” on the keyboard type this:
[RIGHT_TRIGGER]
Event=Keyboard
Scancode=0D
Typematic=1
Button=
always leave the “Button” blank other wise u’ll fail.
Well thats all folks if you have questions feel free to pm me on myspace: myspace.com/therealchunky.
Great hack but kinda pointless and impractical.
Plus there is no sound. Playing it through the pc speakers would only disturb others in the house if you were to play on the living room and your pc is in your room
Emulators plus the handful of great psp games are enough for my portable playing needs.
