iR Shell 5.0 Released w/ Advanced Multi-tasking!

…And here it is! AhMan has unveiled his latest iR Shell with the highly anticipated advanced multi-tasking feature. Keep in mind; this is for the Slim only. Fat users should stick with iR Shell 4.92.
iR Shell 5.0 allows you to run two applications simultaneously and switch between them with a hot key. I strongly encourage you look over the included “Release_Notes.txt” or follow the source link. There are plenty of usage and compatibility notes concerning iR Shell’s advanced multi-tasking capabilities.

This is pretty neat, but an update that I really want from IRShell/AhMan, is the 2 player PSX feature.
Oh man, this is clever stuff, AhMan,you are the MAN.
Damn shame this doesn’t work on my Phat PSP though, oh well Ver 4.95 for me though.

It’s prob not on fat cause it is 1/2 the amount of ram in the slim. so development is mostly on the eaiser one first then see if it is possible to make it using less ram.
im on fat too. ha. slim screen broke, too lazy to fix these things esp. when it has a whole bunch of wires inside from the led mods n crap.

anyways nice i just wish this was available as a prx i mean i don’t like IRShell i prefer the XMB with custom themes… i guess it is but i don’t think it’ll work on it maybe i’m downloading just to see…

I have just installed ir shell 5.0 on my psp…My version is 3.90 m33-3. I’m using slim. My problem is whenever i run irshell it says “Unsupported firmware version dectected…Pls poweroff PSP!” Can some1 help me?? I really want 2 use da irshell 5.0..Thx
wtf? why do you have 3.90 m33 still upgrade to 5.00 M33-6 its the best one
run the patch on irshell go to memory stick go to irshell folder in the root of the mrmoy stick go to patch then find 3.90 firmware or w/e and then read the read me and it will tell u what to run ;)

can you download using the web browser while playing a game using the multi tasking ability? Please answer. I can’t test it right now cause i am at work.
yep, but you cant use 2 programs that that use wifi at the same time.
i’m having troubles figuring out how to start from the memory stick, even when i choose the sony driver in th config options it’s always trying to get the game from the UMD drive

Location free Player with the multitasking or just avaiable through IRSHELL.
Skype? Can’t even get to it through the IRShell.
How about talking in a conference through Skype while gaming or watching a movie or whatever? When?

Write the word “iR Shell v5.0 (Slim only)” onto a tiny piece of paper and stuff it inside your psp phat umd slot. try it, it may work..
Wonder if you will be able to play games over a login internet, first login in to the internet keep it running, then load the game and try multiplayer, if anyone knows what i’m talking about let me know if you try it.

hopefully the time will come me personally i have a phat slim and a 3000, i still havent tried this because i stepped on my slims 2 gig stick :( and i dont want to over write the irshell for my phatty
maybe YOU should try reading it, the read me doesn’t say anything about how to load isos…
Dont be stupid guys this version works on phat just dont turn on the option for advanced multi tasking. Works fine. I use it. and to load iso’s you have to patch Ir shell to the cfw version you are useing.
Activate the directory view in iR Shell, then go to the iR Shell folder, then enter the Patch folder.
Select the folder of your respective firmware, and then run the patch that is in that folder (btcntpatch.prx). Don’t skip this part or else you won’t be able to run ISOs or CSOs through iR Shell.

Nope, it can be installed on slims because slims have double the ram than the phat.
after i used the 5.00 patch, iR shell wont run anymore. so i reinstalled, this time it did run, but wont play my mp3’s anymore. any help? thanks.
is there a way to get this on psp brite with chickhen?
