Viva la resistooonce, The resistooonce lives strong in me.
Zinio support needs to be added…
lit would be nice
This sucks and is another peace of shit. my pc opens these pdf files but the program shows nothing but blank pages on every page and every pdf. it only works on super small pdf’s
Constructive.
actually the reason is memory issues, it is possible to load larger pdfs, if there only text but as soon as starts to have images it will become harder, remember that this program usually loads in the entire document if possible, so that way you have the fastest response time when “flipping pages”, if you want to complain then grab some code and fix it yourself, noob
You know mentioning what the version of the Pdf is or how big the file was or how many pages or details about the file might help instead of just putting up that it fails to open them.
Doesn’t help the developers if you just say it doesn’t work.
6th post
this is shit
america is shit
really and your faggy little country is soo fucking great, oh and retard if you say america then your referring to the whole western hemisphere you fucking cunt you. long live the US
seems to work well. gonna test drive this later in the evening.
NEEDS LARGER PDS!
USA IS THE BEST!
AMERICA #1
I convert anything I read to txt beforehand (I only use it for novels and such) I find I have to to stop certain characters from displaying as squares.
But I love Bookr, it’s what I use my PSP for 80% of the time
I’d love to see an overhauled and pimped out GUI though, or to make it customisable
Stop complaining. Bookr ist dein scheisse. Being able to read my books on the go without having to do massive conversion is fucking awesome.
The only thing I would very much like to add is .cbr/.cbz support to avoid issues with converting from cbr/z to pdf and running into the issue of the images not showing up.
My balls itch…
It was a stupid post in the Opera thread, it’s still a stupid post.
these arent threads retard… not many people only read these… Your a fucking joke
First of all, I didn’t say it was a thread.
Second, the word is “you’re.”
Third, I don’t even know what “not many people only read these” is even supposed to mean. Do you actually read the words you type or do you just randomly slap your genitals across the keyboard and hit enter?
tlj you fucking rock
again this site is lacking moderation anymore, why are they little people post sh-tty comments like this anymore
You should go over to the xbox360 page, any curse words or posts like some of the ones you mention are automatically removed by the admin over there.
man that looks much better over there lol, i moderate/admin on another site, so i really think it lacks quality when another site can’t even bother to properly moderate it themself
It’s a bit better, but still not as quick as version 0.7.1
First helpful comment so far.
Bookr will always be worthless until I make the Booker T theme play when viewing it on the XMB. CAN YOU DIG IT, SUCKA? And well, time to try the new version. I didn’t notice any big changes on the last one, but it’s still a very solid tool that I enjoy so much. Thanks to the authors.
I read this on the release thread, after thinking it might just have been my ebooks, but it misses the last line or few lines of text from the end of the file… wtf’s that all about? I’m going to downgrade until I find this updated.
Source Forge still has 0.71
the 2.71 with dejavu add on seemed to work great, it opened all my pdfs even the large dsm-iv pdf that was over 100mbs just took 5min to load that’s all and also had to constantly re-load i’m going to take a look int o both codes to see where the problem lies, I agree with most that it needs more format supports, but realistically this is awesome and has anyone else ran into problems with the customize color feature? Hey whatever happened to a good multimedia player for the psp i would like to know if anyone knows of a good one for videos’ since music is well covered, that also doesn’t require streaming.
still crashes
This version still crashes any time I try to put my PSP to sleep. Is this only a problem on certain CFWs?
Plus, I don’t seem to be able to actually open HTML files with it.
most homebrew will crash when put into sleep-mode, my recommendation would be to use the add bookmark option that is inside the pop-up display, if you want to continue reading, i use it all the time and never had a problem yet (except for the sleep mode crash like you encountered), it’s also cool to if your doing a project for school and want a specific line or excerpt to use
Managed to open a 23.3MB PDF version 1.4 (Acrobat 5.x) file without a problem. I’ve gone thru 7 pages out of the 410 pages and so far in initial testing it hasn’t crashed.
Opened up my VmWare Infrastructure 3 Fast Track Book 1 pdf file which is 57.5MB with 444 pages and noticed some more obvious lag in moving from the first page to the last and then back tracking and scrolling pages. Almost looks like it’s about frozen or stuck for a few seconds but hasn’t frozen up or crashed just yet. Likely due to the bigger file size and added pages as the previous document had a similar number of pages but the file size was less then half of this one. PDf version 1.6 (Acrobat 7.X) however all things considered so far in tests I would say this works. Will have to test further for a longer time to see how it holds up.
Thanks for this, so far working well.
System: PSP-2001 Darth Vader White Ed. with FW 5.00 M33-6 with a 16GB Memory Stick with 2.7GB free, not sure if the way you design this application it helps to have added free space on the memory stick but thought it would be helpful to note it none the less.
same here i tested with about a 60mb file, a bit of lag no crash, but it makes me wonder maybe we should look for away to allocate more space from the flash to run homebrew, more memory would mean better functioning either that or they could go java for the code and use the java emulator to play it, this would help because in a similar manner to opera mini we would be using the memory off the memory stick to run it, it might actaully perform better to because of the speed-up in ms access DAX gave in update 5
I am running system software 5.00 M33-6 on psp lite.
I try to open a 2.22MB pdf file containing 242 pages after it says it is ‘loading…’ for a while it then crashes and shuts down the PSP.
Any ideas? Thx in advance.
works great for me. but found some italics would come out as garbage. zoom in/out would fix it for a few pages. otherwise works great.
