GuitarStar v1.02 Released
greg | March 9, 2009
Quietly released late February was a new version of festi’s GuitarStar; which, you guessed it, is the full-fledged homebrew clone of Guitar Hero, and everyone loves Guitar Hero. Right? We’re not sure what’s new aside from the version bump… But whatever the case, you got it.

my bad
This was a clone originally made for PC, glad to see it ported for PSP.
whats the point really? good job on it but are u really gonna play this? how is it even played? strum the analogue lol
gameplay would be similar to blacksquare but they should have included in the feature to remap the keys coz when you need to press the 3rd and 5th “string” you have to press triangle which is confusing and i wanst able to adjust to this
gay. yea this will turn the the chicks on. yea right may be with a real guitar. I guess little kids will like it.
I know most guys only play video games to turn chicks on (cuz really, what girl ISN’T turned on by video games, right? Halo 3 gets my girl going every time) but believe it or not…some of them play just for the fun of it…I know, it’s shocking, right?
No one thinks they’re impressing anyone by playing this game, the purpose is to have fun, not to emulate actual guitar skill. The kind of douche who thinks everything everyone else does is an attempt to impress women (see: yourself) is usually the same kind of desperate douche who doesn’t get any.
lmao you get a cookie for that post tlj
your my official hero of the day
on topic this game is fun, but remapping would be nice and possible an english translation (not that its hard to figure it out..) but im curious on how the multiplayer works out..
alert(“I still think that it is a good conversation for homebrew”)
guitarwaytoheaven??
lol
Yeah! GWH ftw!:P
Does it still suck?
I can’t read it, but it works pretty well if you get more music. I got the whole Metallica pack, and it works great. Really hard to play, but they work.
If you want to see the real thing go to http://www.guitarzero2.proboards78.com/index.cgi
If you check around the forums, you can find the PC version, and also plenty of custom music to play.
Hopefully will find an English version soon, and maybe a remapping of the controls. Really hard to play.
hey
this is PSPhackr124 from youtube
im helping people with homebrew and all this
and im asking the people from psp-hacks
to make the ultimate homebrew app
and could i make a review
or an ultimate theme for psp running 4.01 m33-2 ?????
thx
haha psp-hacks aren’t the one building the apps, but i don’t think there isn’t one on the site that can or does, but mostly it’s apps made by other programmers that submit the app to the site. and “ultimate homebrew app” sounds great an all, but what will this app do? i don’t understand why they would make an amazing theme for 4.01. I still use it when i want to use my ir keyboard in the browser, but most people already upgraded so it’s pointless to build one for an older firmware people don’t use much anymore.
guitarway to heaven is a skinned “clone” of psp revolution, a stepmania (ddr) port for psp of sorts. It’s slightly difficult to play and just looks weird since it doesn’t use arrows (as no guitar game should). What I did was import all the step files and music for guitarway into psp revolution. looks much better. but again, just to be clear, it’s actually a ddr game, not guitar, that’w why it looks kind of strange and has the weird keypress layouts, for anybody curious. And both guitarway and psp revolution will accept ANY stepmania step/sim files that the pc and other ports can :D been playing it for over a year now :D
