No joking around with JK108, plenty of fixes and a couple more sites make up Ultimate PSPTube version 1.9. It’s the must-have homebrew app for anyone who enjoys at least one of these 35 sites –

does anyone else get the messed up sound and picture from the stagevu site? if so lets comment on it so the creator will fix it its a great movie site but the stream is very weak as well
i like the work done on this homebrew but im thinkin that the speed could be increased on loads

We need a new GUI badly, or at least a function to choose which site to look on. I mean it’s kind of getting excessive pressing the select button 40 times to get from youtube to my favorites.

ok sence they are putting so many sites to watch they should just make a list of sites on the program so that ur search does not slow down every time u push select
i believe (from reading other comments on previous updates) that since JK108 doesn’t have the source code, he can’t make modifications like that. but it would be cool.

Anybody else have problems using this with 5.00 m33-6? It used to work fine for me on 5.00 m33-5. Now all I’m seeing is a black screen on m33-6. Psp Tube 1.8 also had the same problem on m33-6. Any help?

Just new sites, new sites, new sites and NOTHING ELSE :(
Here are some changes i’d love to see in psptube -
1. Dont want the application to stall each time a search is done OR the searches are populated OR vid is being loaded etc. Use threading to get the search to be done on a separate thread (dont know how easy this is to code on the psp)
2. You need to be able to scrub through to any random location (forward or back). You need to reload the whole video all over again even if you want to rewind just a couple seconds behind maybe because you missed something. This is crazy! I know the architecture is limiting because its being buffered at run time…but its very much possible…all you need to do is, maintain a dump of the video on the device, only the one thats playing.
3. Pressing select to switch is toooo cumbersome. A simple drop down or a list on a page to navigate and choose would be way smarter. A single page with probably the icons of each of the sites added would be great!
I waited for 8 minor version upgrades, 1.2 to 1.9 (now) and finally thought its time to let out some steam :D
No offense intended, do appreciate your work…but I’d really love to see some actual code of the app being changed rather than just the scripts/ sites configured. I’m sure a lot of them are thinking so too! :)

I understand your fustration. I would make all those changes but I don’t actually have the source code to the application so all I can do is change or add scripts. This is why I have started making a whole new version from scratch and yes it already does use threading for the search and get thumbnails in the background on a separate thread too. You can select the sites in it by pressing L1 and R1 or press SELECT to choose the site from a grid. I’m having some trouble cross-compiling ffmpeg at the moment so I’m not sure if or when I’ll be able to finish it or if I will ever release it.
maybe you should get more people in on coding psptube from scratch…i’m no good at coding things but i’m sure there would be plenty of people eager to see this homebrew built the way it should have been…

It would be cool if this becomes open source. It would be faster and the codes would be cleaner as I’m pretty sure coders would start at optimizing that. Hopes it gets open source soon.

psptube wont work in my psp it just keeps showing dat corrupted i tried everything my psp is custom firmware and its 5.00 M33-4 and it just wont work i might be doiing something wrong so can u plz help me!!!

My psptube (1.9) works fine for everythign except, youtube.com which im guessing the scripts expired for. I believe that this is a great application and im looking forward to the (hopeful) release of your app JK108 it sounds great. Could you see if you can add the site “http://www.familyguynow.com/”. Thank You
it happened to me too, everything works fine except youtube. but youtube works on psptube 20090301, only seach limited to 20.
