PSPChrome v1.0 Released
greg | February 8, 2009
It’s a web app, it’s a portal, it’s a chromed out browser functioning within the PSP’s integrated web browser. I’m not really sure what to call it, but I can tell you this — Damiaan Reijnaers’ PSPChrome is pretty dope, especially if you make use of regular Internet surfing from your hand held. And not only that, anyone can use it — hacked PSP or not.

Download the PSPChrome archive, unzip it, and copy the files to the root of your memory stick. Call the PSP Internet Browser up and enter the following address: file:/pspchrome/index.html. You should probably bookmark that too. Enjoy!
PSPChrome v1.0:
- Browsing with more tabs
- Load bookmarks from your PSP
- Codes for the address bar
- Donating for NL/BE/UK
- Listening to music while browsing
- Mailing with your PSPunk
- Credits page added
- PSPWoord integration
- Tools added
Download: PSPChrome v1.0

Awesome.
Trying this now.
woooohoooo
second
I thought it was a legit port when I saw it on DLQJ, needless to say, I was disappointed.
same here ooh man i reele thought this was it a breakthru for psp browsing but i guess not
wow… a web portal… This guy has ’skills’… >_>
Damn what a hater…you make any programs?
He doesn’t, I don’t, and nor does the person that made this. Its a script not a program.
Programs are made of scripts moron!, html is a web script, c++ is a programming script. Stupid
scripts are interpreted runtime and not compiled
Awesome! Finally an app I can use on my 3000!
Is this secure? Because everithing is bypassed by the site: psp.damiaanreijnaers.nl…
I talking about use secure sites like gmail etc
idk if its good
i’ll try it now.
This is actually a pretty sweet web portal. Just 2 questions:
Is there a way to get more then 2 tabs?
Is there a way to set up the internet browser to automatically start with going to the Chrome portal?
Thanks!
Couldnt you just make it your homepage?
I saw this on console mods and the guy who made it said that his next version would (hopefully) have more tabs. lol, I don’t really remember anything else he talked about in the next version, and don’t feel like going back to the page XD.
@ Low
Yeah, I figured it out right after I posted this comment.
@animebeast
Thanks for the info! :D
wow, this is amazing, i have to give it up to you but just one question, does this really work on a unmodded PSP with an offical Sony firmware 4.03(unhackable)? Knowing from experience i can’t take any chances, a prtal similar to this was used on my PSP phat and it broke.. modded too.. well someone please reply thank you for your time
it’s a combination of an HTML and a flash package
it should run on any psp with a firmware that includes the web browser CFW or not
K thank you for your reply, it is greatly appreciated, just one more thing where should i place this file? Simply drop it on the root my memory stick?
Oh yea just to add to my previous comment, for those who are like me and are waiting desperately for a break through the gripshif emploit well theres some other neat stuff for unhacked psps such as Fuse 2.0 (search on site). well good luck everyone =]
well this is cool. what would make it even better is if the newest versions of flash and the like were incorporated into it so the psp’s web browser might be a little more functional.
most portals suck. let, this be one of them. all this really does is eat browser space.
aside from making the tabs visible, netfront browser sucks at caching. find a REAL alternative to it, and dont waste ur time with this portal unlesss its in eboot format
argh…i will give this a miss. how do you verify this is safe/secure? the site might capture your browser habits..or worse..capture your password!?
man, who CARES if it’s “secure”. It LOOKS pretty secure for me and that’s all I care about. This thing rules, and SCREW ALL YOU HATERS!
@animebeast Stfu douchebag, this thing is just an html page with flash, anybody whose taken a hightschool meb course can make this ripoff of a browser
Like c’mon this isnt even a hack, its not even an effort on the authors part. This only takes up more ram than neccesary, another crap web portal. and yes i am “hating” on this guy cos he made a shitty app to get attention.
Two basic questions:
Does this use the Grid keyboard or the default FAIL keyboard ?
Is this an actual app, or do we basically have to go to the webpage from the normal browser every time for it to work ?
If the answers to either one of these is a no, then this app is crap.
nice effort, not bashing the author at all, well done mate. however i can’t see the point really, the psp browser has 3 ‘tabs’ as such with the square+L/R.
its like having a browser in a browser, when you fire the internet up you have what you need already so personally i won’t bother.
but variety is always nice. its not gonna change the world but fuck it, it’s novel =)
Nederlands FTW!!!
Jeeej :D
i cant use tools and how in the world can i lisent to music while browsin? this app sucks
mymy..the contentcannot be dislayed
