LEDA 0.2: Legacy Software Loader Updated

greg | February 5, 2009

The Legacy Software Loader project known as LEDA packs increased compatibility this second time ’round, all thanks to the man who needs no introduction, Dark_AleX.

LEDA is an attempt to run older homebrew, typically those requiring or compiled for firmware 1.0 and 1.50, on the custom firmwares of today, even with the PSP Slim where the 1.50 kernel add-on isn’t available.

Dark_AleX also quotes:

Note: if you have plugins enabled, disable them before running installer. CFW Folder Blocker v1.0 in concrete is known to cause problems with LEDA installer.

LEDA 0.2 changes:

  • Increased compatibility

Download: LEDA (Beta) 0.2

Great job done for the update! Now we don’t really need to use time machine to play homebrew games anymore. Hope DAX can also solve the speed up MS access in 5.00 M33-6 because when i switch my 4 GB MS to a 1 GB MS to the PSP slim, the info read it as 3904 MB instead of the 950 MB for the 1 GB MS.

I’m so busy these days. But I have plans to test out many many Homebrews with this on both Phat without Kernel, and a Slim. I’ll probably put a link to a website I’ll make with a list of working/not working homebrew.

I have a Pandora battery capable of booTing to the XMB AND any apps installed :)

Don’t ask how casue i’m REALLY not sure how I did it. All I can say is it involved hardmodding.

I downgraded and tried all these without 1.50 Kernel. Very very good results. Waiting for my roommate to find his PSP so I can’t test them on PSPSlim/2000.

i have gotten some 1.5 eboots working on slim by using eboot.pbp as data.psp pack together with eboot containing icon info and it worked. i got a sudoku game working using my method. however, can anyone tell me when i hex edit kernel mode out, i get psp error lib not found?
if i can fix this i can try to get some apps workin on slim.
btw any sdl app i edit will give me the error

I heard that PSP-3000 can’t be hacked into CFW anymore. Therefore DAX, Team M33 and Team Noobz are concentrating on the PSP-2000 TA-088 V3 motherboard. Hope all the people out there don’t waste their $$$ to buy a unhackable PSP-3000. It’s confirmed 100% that PSP-3000 cannot be hacked anymore.

anymore? It never could be hacked, there was just a exploit that people could use, using gripshift.

Never huh? hm.. i guess the next psp2 also unhackable…? wow, this kind of things bumped me out.

anyways, there are no homebrew that i like needed 1.0 or 1.5.. its a good news though
