PSP Tool v0.8 Released

greg | January 10, 2009

Complete convenience wrapped in an EBOOT — PSP Tool v0.8. Raing3’s handy homebrew bundles various managerial tools for you and your handheld: backup & restore the IdStorage, inject or dump memory stick IPLs, convert from/to a normal/service mode (Pandora) battery, and not only that, but much more…

PSP Tool v0.8 changes:

  • Added options to create DC3, DC4, DC5, DC7, DC8 or an original 1.50 Update Flasher Magic Memory Sticks (read manual for requirements, same as original installers).
  • Added a Memory Stick format function based on Hellcats Pandora Installer.
  • The wave colours are now random and customizable (the wave colours can be changed by pressing SQUARE or holding L while pressing square toggles between the flash0 colours and the internal colours).
  • Other minor alterations and fixes.
  • Fixed crash when attempting to use a flash via USB when run under DC.
  • All files (except loaded PRXs) are now stored in a zip archive in the PSAR section of the EBOOT for easy editing.
  • Sources are no longer included to reduce file size.
  • IdStorage keys are now saved and restored from a single file and the integrity of the file is validated before restoration.
  • Added more information to the system information pandels.

Documentation included.

Why is it that I get the message “The game could not be started.” everytime I try opening it on my psp?

Um, maybe because it doesn’t run on official firmware ?

i used this to create a pandora battery and mms on my phat to downgrade a friends slim. i tested it on my phat and no problems i used dc8 and installed it fine.

tried it in my slim and it would not boot so i tried to put the slim battery in my phat to pandorise it and now the battery is dead. is there anything that can be done.

After u make a Pb u can use it in as many psps as u want or can get ur hands on..

a pb is not a one time use deal. unless u break it after using it once :D
