Team N00bz on The Sparta Exploit

It is indeed exploit fever season, and the remedy — more N00bz! That’s right — the N00bz have combined forces with MaTiAz and FreePlay to help further expand on the recent “Sparta” (GripShift) exploit. The plan:
Our initial focus will be to make it easier to run standard homebrew via this exploit, by adapting eloader to it. This will be restricted purely to user-mode homebrew, since there is currently no public kernel-mode exploit that could be used here, and compatibility is likely to be patchy due to the security measures in the later firmwares which make determining all the syscalls almost impossible. Still, you can expect that at least some emulators and other popular pure user-mode homebrew will run.
So with that said, don’t get too excited for a downgrader solution yet. In the case of someone discovering a method to bust kernel mode wide open, then downgrading via Sparta could very well be possible.

That’s how you find a buffer overflow. You put really long strings in place of short ones and see if the program crashes.

Thats a plugin, not homebrew, and its a lame plugin at that… Learn to play your games, not cheat… Noob
I play my games, then I cheat them to see what’s possible. Besides, there’s little difference between a plugin and a homebrew game, as that’s the hope to finally hack the 3000 with this exploit.
It’s a homebrew plugin, and there are far more uses for codes than cheating. Anyway I imagine it needs kernel access, so it won’t be able to work.
Well, here’s hoping that this exploit gets us kernel access. I imagine it’s just a matter of digging. This exploit lets someone write another exploit that shows that mysterious IPL that everyone wants.
I have a question, could it be possible to make a program that runs with this that all it is is that it tells your psp to run a downgrader somewhere else on your memory stick or something that would normaly require kernal made or would it not run the second program because it would be cool if you could run any program b simply making a proram that the psp CAN run and allthat program does is tell the psp to run the real program. someone please answer my question because also if its possible then it would also be awsome that I came up with the idea

ahhhh this is why im glad i have a int condtion psp 1001 but i cant wait to see this because i love the noobz they helped me crack the 1001 on the 3.03 firmware with gta so if it wasnt for them i would have probably sold my psp by now haha

Nice to see N00bz back on the scene. Havent seen them since they beat sony to skype with furikup, and that was exactly a year ago! They released the hen/eloader/downgraders for gta and lumines, so i think if anyone can do it for gripshift on the 3000, they can! Go Team N00bz!

why get a 3000 when you can pick up old 1000 models from flee markets. not kidding i found a bunch of them the other day. and probably pay less.
