2050: The Last Island (Demo)

greg | December 29, 2008

Built on the Quake engine is the visually pleasing homebrew from Stealth Kill — 2050: The Last Island. The playability isn’t quite there yet; however, the demo certainly illustrates the potential. Stealth Kill’s intention is to create a “Grand Theft Auto meets the Sims” type game. In the demos current state we have one playable mission, so enjoy that for now.

2050: The Last Island Screenshot

The plan; come a final release: various missions, earn money and buy furniture for your house, enter other buildings, learn to fight at the Dojo, drive boats, cars, and much more…

Cant wait till this gets going. Also off note someone should create an unofficial trophy system homebrew games can support.

did any one notice a bug in this game (i know it is a demo) it could be just my psp but when i went to that thingy which takes you up i went into that house(or room) when i came out it said loading but nothing happened. Am i the only one or has this happened to someone else? go straight ahead when you first start the game and see that thing going up and down walk on it go into the room come back out and see what happens

Pretty good idea for a game, little rough around the edges but definitely deserves respect.

Also, I couldn’t pick up the laptop near the dojo. I walked over it and also tried the ‘use’ command, but it didn’t work.
Anyone managed to complete the mission?

Love this though.

holding down the R button will “pick up” the laptop, but it will fly around and frequently fling off somewhere, so you gotta be careful and move slow. just let go of R to drop it near the person who wanted it. I have no idea how to pick up the “donation” though. Assumed it was supposed to be at the Bancomat, but using it does nothing. That’s basically how you play it. Go find the laptop at the Dojo, hold R to carefully pick it up (I flung it into the pool first time, and only could restart to let me pick up the laptop again), then walk over to the person and drop it near them. sorry if this “spoiler” is frowned upon :P
