2050: The Last Island (Demo)

greg | December 29, 2008

Built on the Quake engine is the visually pleasing homebrew from Stealth Kill — 2050: The Last Island. The playability isn’t quite there yet; however, the demo certainly illustrates the potential. Stealth Kill’s intention is to create a “Grand Theft Auto meets the Sims” type game. In the demos current state we have one playable mission, so enjoy that for now.

2050: The Last Island Screenshot

The plan; come a final release: various missions, earn money and buy furniture for your house, enter other buildings, learn to fight at the Dojo, drive boats, cars, and much more…

PSP TA-088v3 Motherboard Hacked; For Real?!

greg | December 27, 2008

Nah, probably not… Take the next 6 minutes and 46 seconds to witness history, or complete tomfoolery, in the making…

This video stems from Despertador21 over at pspgen. Whether it’s authentic or pure speculation; I’m learning towards freshly squeezed speculation. So I wouldn’t get your hopes up, not yet anyway. Really, where are the goods? Discuss amongst yourselves…

Rock out with Rock Station!

greg | December 23, 2008

Transform your portable PlayStation into a portable Rock Station with this crafty creation from Blade_punk. Using Rock Station’s composer, guitar & drum simulator, you can jam and bang out your own beats in a matter of minutes. It’s fun, it’s fabulous — it’s Blade_punk’s Rock Station.

Rock Station Composer
Rock Station Drums  Rock Station Guitar

Rock Station features:

General:

  • Drums, composer and guitar times displayed in main menu. See how much time you’ve wasted playing.

Composer:

  • Saving and loading.
  • Support for more than the standard acoustic and synth kit setups when using the drum composer. Rock Station will automatically read the contents of Sounds/Drums/ and list the folders in the composer menu. Make sure the folder contains EVERY sound needed or it the program will crash.

Drum Simulator:

  • Music playback while you play. Browser can be accessed by pressing select while playing.
  • Multiple kit setups like in the Composer.

Guitar Simulator:

  • Strum as you would on a real guitar.

Spider Solitaire v1.04

greg | December 23, 2008

I never played or even tried the original, the one requiring the 1.50 kernel; but if you have, and then later realized shit ain’t compatible anymore, you need darklight’s modified version of Synopsis76’s Spider Solitaire. Modifications done: the 1.50 kernel; she’s no longer necessary.

Huge props to Synopsis76 for his work on Spider Solitaire; as well, credit to The Mindcaster for the underlying Stackless Python Port.

Now I’d take a screenshot (using FuSa screenShoot) for you; however, attempting to do so seemingly crashes my PSP. So instead, I present this:

Spider Solitaire

Download: Spider Solitaire v1.04 (for cfw 3.xx & above)

Thanks for the email darklight.
