iR Shell v4.7 w/ 5.00 M33 Support Released!

Prepare to be ahmazed indeed… Just received word from the man himself, and as promised, here is iR Shell v4.7 with support for custom firmware 5.00 M33. Welcome back, AhMan.
iR Shell 4.7 feature summary:
- Support Dark_AleX latest 5.00M33-3 CFWs. Users of original 5.00M33 & M33-2 should upgrade to M33-3 to avoid incompatibility issues. The latest Popsloader 5.00 is also supported.
- An Infrared learning remote is added for PSP Phat. You no longer need to hunt pronto codes for your appliances. Just point your remote unit at the PSP and it will learn the iR code. It is available under higher firmwares and not fw 1.5 mode. Refer to the Release Note for usage details.
- The nethostfs connection handling has been redesigned to be more robust. However, iR Shell 4.7 and onwards can only connect to the new nethostfs PC server v2.1. Make sure you’ve updated the nethostfs PC server.
- Enhance UMD/ISO game compatibility via nethostfs MAX mode. Most previous failed games will probably work.
- Usbhostfs & nethostfs host redirection under XMB has returned.
- The Adhoc PC connection for nethostfs was broken since fw 3.71. This feature has been brought back for PSP Phat.
- Enhance the HTML Plugin (by Dark_AleX) to allow direct launching of flash games with extension SWF.

hea i know i should be putting this hear but this has a good comment reply… i got a question, i got a psp fat and im upgradign to a slim ( NO PSP-3000 ) and im gonna go to eb games to buy it. i know that some slims have that pandora proof thing in it and i know that u gotta look in the umd door to see a TA-090 or something, i was wondering what type is the pandora proof ones? what would it say behind it if it was a pandora proof? and please list them all if theres more than 1, thanks and please reply if u know.

great to see it released again, and it mostly works but having trouble with nethost already.
and yes i updated to nethost 2.1
how do i get nethost to work? it says “cant connect to network host” i have nethostfs running on my pc also. it says “listening for incoming connections”

do you have to upgrade to 5.00 m33 from 4.01 m33 beacause it says that one of the features is support 5.00 m33 so thats just a new feature in it isn’t it?? thats what i did with the new cxmb and it worked!! if somebody tried lunching the new irShell on 4.01 m33 please reply!!
You dont have to i just ran irshell smoothly on 4.01m33-3 i did the remote thing too

i installed the 150 version using 150 kernel and when i said exit to xmb it went all black i would say upgrade to 5.00 m33 just to be safe but i havent played with it much i have to go to work but thats the first thing i noticed

Installed it this morning. I have to say FLAWLESS!!!. Nethostfs runs great, i can play Iso’s and psx games right of my hd with very little lag from the other side of my house. Redirect is also working again so I can do so from xmb if i so choose. (hostcore never worked well for me) wOoT mem stick 368 GB free. Hopefully this will give the scene a good kick in the ass.
i tryed downloading this but when i try to open it i get a blak screen why does that happen i have 5.00 m33-3
same here no matter what i do and is reinstalling the 1.50 addon bad because no 1.50 programs work and this one sadly didnt work no matter what folder i put it into whats going on and im no noob im guessing a reinstall I have a Phat

i hav 5.0m33-3 and the irspatch isnt working it says unsupported firmware version. so wen i click on an iso it says no disk.

Anyone know how to get the remote learning working…i cant get it to work..
Dude just choose the button u want to use (ex:Up arrow for Chan Up) and then using a remote keep on pressing chan up until the psp notices it.
I am NOOB and i installed everything ok. only problem is where do i get the sepulgins the music ext ones the “prx’s” because they didnt come with the dl

I cant get games to run using usbhost.
when I try to run a game it says:
“No disk Inserted”

go to ir shell configurator and see if your iso mode is set to normal, and if it is, check to see if you have a umd in the psp. if you don’t, just change to m33. i haven’t tested to see if it works, but that is my guess.

unable to load a pops lower than 4.01 with popsloader. any one else have any luck loading a lower pops like 3.71

can someone help me with the whole redirect controls to host thing.
i got the usbhost working and i got redirection to my keyboard but have no ides what the controls are. i know the directional buttons controls by accident but don’t know any more.
i have a xbox 360 wired controller and have the driver installed on my computer.
i am usually good with these things, don’t know what’s wrong.

well i got the ir to work with my receiver but it dosent work with hdtv remotes nor ps3…i guess it only works with older models of tv sets and stuff..anyone got it too work with there hd set remotes??? or ps3 or anything hd?? let me know plz.. thanks

this would be a great application if it worked correctly or had a good list of instructions
it will play eboot files from your harddrive but not iso or cso ive tried everything 4 hours or so if you have anyluck let us know
Go the the file browser in Irshell and select the irshell folder.Then go to the PATCH folder and select the 5.00 folder, and select the btcnfpatch.prx file, after that make sure the UMD mode is set to Sony Np9660. After that they should work.
How do you change the skins?
This IRShell refuses to auto-start. Neither the plugin, nor the 5.00 “BOOT/EBOOT.PBP” option work, I have to manually start this every time. Does anyone else have this problem?
NVM, I fixed it.
did you put the auto start prx file that comes in the zip file in your se pluggins folder? if not that will fix it. and make sure the prx is enabled under pluggins the recovery menu
I got it working. It wasn’t working because I had XMB & Game plugins disabled in the advanced menu (so PSN would work).
have you been able to run games from your harddrive using the usbhost? if so how?
OMG! The IR freakin’ learning remote is so awesome! The new IRShell works well on both my psp slim and phat. And I just upgraded my phat from 3.90 m33 to 5.00 m33-3 just for this new update. Freakin’ awesome cool homebrew. Thanks Ahman! And to those people who contributed.
USBHost works ok, But most of the Iso/Cso just freeze up my Slim.
NETHost , never finds my WiFi. Tried for hours, still no go.
Also, RemoteJoy4IRS displays App Screen,Game Screen,Etc , but screen lags or freezes then returns. Could be just my PC having trouble with RemoteJoy4IRS.
USBHostFS Fix:
Here’s a fix for those Iso/Cso that wont load or Crash the PSP.
You need to rename the Iso/Cso to a smaller name.
Example: Metal_Gear_Solid.cso
rename to : M.cso then it should work :)
I beleive it has something to do with DOS (limited amount of characters), not sure.
But, for whatever reason, renaming the Iso/Cso to a smaller name works.
Hopefully someone can find a better fix.
I hope this helps for the time being.

I’m getting the same problem… None of my ISO’s or CSO’s seem to want to do anything other than lock my Slim up… I’ve tried renaming… I’ve tried redirection… It’s sad lol… Another problem I’m having is with redirection and shifting to the XMB from IRShell it says no games… Is this normal? I mean what is the point with IRShell and a PSP Slim if I can just do this with Hostcore already and it actually works… Anyways… I’ll keep trying…

why does irshell often freeze when i try to listen to music and play games at the same time?
Has anyone else had problems with the remote feature? For some reason, all of my remotes work in edit mode, but if I just run the remote, none of the buttons work. I have to open up the RDF for editing, and then go to playback mode for the buttons to work.

I’ve tried to boot Legend of Legaia PSX and it freezes. Some of the homebrew will boot up. But I need this mainly for the PSX adhoc, and IR features.

i tried to use irshell with remotejoy 0.18. doesn’t work.
i don’t like the irshell remotejoy. the quality is lower than remotejoylite.

how do play psx games on irshell?
Having problems too .. I can stream (Wireless) pictures fine .. but my mp3’s won’t stream and when i try to stream a game it doesnt work.. even tried with a UMD in it and it just loads that UMD. Anyone sle having this problem?
I’m having problem as i cant have a UMD to be inserted due to my PSP being modified. Firmware version 5.00 M33-3. Tried changing to OENoUMD, M33NoUMD, SonyNP9660NoUMD but all failed. No matter what i do the screen comes up with “No disc inserted”. ARGH!!! :( Pls help…

I hope there is an update soon .. because I love to listen to my music to fall asleep (streaming it wireless) .. if this app doessn’t work for that soon, than i gues its back to pimp stream … sorry guys that made this ..but thats really the only reaon to use it .. games if it works are still gonna lag via usb or sireless .. and whats lwft with this app. … streaming music which pinpstreamer does plus pics and movies.. so i hope you can improve .. because if ya cannot less and less people will use this and that is the bottom line.

this isnt as good as i thought..
ok .you have to go to the file management screen in ir shell .. basically just browe the folder of ir shelland go to the patch folder and then the 5.00 folder then click on the btcnfpatch.prx and it will patch a prx file in your flash ..then you can use the iso and cso’s trough nethost or usb …
Ok, so I go into the patch folder and pick the btcnfpatch.prx. A black screen pops up telling me to choose ‘x’ to begin. When I do that it gives me an error message that said ‘error copying irspatch.prx’. What do I need to do now? I have googled this and am not able to find any answers. What is your advise on this?

I have a psp Phat running 5.0 33-4 and i have loaded shell 4.7 and upgraded it to 4.8 but i keep getting a return to vsm screen any time i move the controller? well i downloaded the ir shell but i do not know where to put them as there are 3 folders and i totally do not know where to put them.(HELP) i am a total noob!! i put all the folders in the game150 folder and when i start up my psp, i can see the game but there are lots of corrupted file and the irshell cannot start.
Can u give me a step by step information on where to put and what to do next??
