Power Manager v2.0 Released

greg | November 4, 2008

Manage the power of your PSP with pspjoke’s homebrew plug-in. Effectively control brightness levels, CPU clock speed, and I should also mention it works alongside weltall’s CWCHEAT. Follow the release / discussion thread to learn more about the CWCHEAT companion mode.

Power Manager features:

  • PSP 4th brightness level is only 68, with this you can reach 99. (same as 100)
  • Plug PSP into charger to unlock the full brightness of the screen. (higher then the fourth brightness of the slim)
  • Plug PSP into charger for forced 333mhz CPU clock.
  • Can auto-clock the CPU based on usage. (to save more power)
  • Can enable/disable the MAX brightness when plugged in.
  • Now works alongside CWCheat for increased power saving.
  • CWCheat Companion Mode (see notes)
  • Companion Mode is enabled by default, to disable see controls.

will changing the brightness affect the backlight itself?

im kinda worry it’ll shorten the life and it’ll go out like a light bulb, somewhat like the cases of the gba sp’s backlight getting dull

what does he mean by add a line for it? on the install part.
” Install:
copy powermanager.prx to seplugins or wherever you want.
add a line for it in vsh.txt, game.txt, game150.txt, pops.txt. whatever you want the plugin to run under.”

what line should i add? can someone type it here for me? thanks!

to install it (in simply instructions) just copy the powermanager.prx to your seplugins, then go into the VSH.txt (if you dont have one create a blank notpad and place it in the seplugins and name it vsh.txt) it should be there but some people delete theirs and other complecations might come along.

In the vsh.txt notepad file typse in ms0:/seplugins/prx/powermanager.prx

Then reset your psp and go into the recovery menu by holding thr R trigger while turnign on the psp, and going to plugins, and you will see the name powermanager.prx, go down to it and click it, this will activate it, then work your way back out of the recovery menu and your all ready and it will be activated, if you ever wish to disable it, go back into the recovery menu and go to plugins and click on it again and you will see the word disabled, next to it, that means it is now turned off.

P.S. Sorry about the long message, i just dont want people complaining about what i mean by this or something in wrote that noobs dont understand so i like to make it clear. THANKS!!! :)

guess i should make the readme more noob friendly lol

anyway, copy the .prx file to you seplugins folder on the root of the ms.

then create 4 files called vsh.txt pops.txt game.txt game150.txt

in each of those files add this line.

“ms0:/seplugins/prx/powermanager.prx 1″

without the “”
