MyPSP Touchscreen: Final Proof of Concept
greg | November 3, 2008
Over at PSP-Italia is ccpspita’s comprehensive proof-of-concept showcasing the MyPSP Touchscreen. Combining a little of this ‘n that — namely a RS-232 touchscreen and controller interface, a SIO cable, a hacked PSP Fat or Slim, and of course some mean lean coding skills — you’ll too have a functional MyPSP Touchscreen.

first!
wow, this is awesome!
thats freakin awsome
That is definitely going to be a must have for my cfw 5.00 m33-3 phat psps!! ~drewl
Simply Amazing! -kudos
man i have had a touch screen on my psp for such a long time…well okay only like 2 months but yea i need to post a video on youtube of mine cuz i dont want this guy to be the “first guy” with one cuz i was….except mine is used for the directional buttons, and the O,X,[],and /\ buttons…which i think is better …ill post one very soon
then how are you touching the screen if its using the d-pad and xo[]/\ >_> it can’t be a touch screen unless you actually “touch” it, using the keys implemented with the system is like every other thing made for the psp out there.
na dude you dont get it…i put springs along side the d-pad and the buttons, and wired them back under the LCD of the PSP, that way when i press a certain point on the psp the reactions is that the springs press down and the wire, wiends down to make contact onto the metal part of either the d-pad, or the buttons that way the psp will respond, and while its not “technically” touch screen…no one has to know, and it is extremly responisive and plus it took over 1 month to wield it all together and such, and all i have to do to shut it off is pull a wire (comming out of the USB slot) up in order to move all the springs sideways and that way i can use the actual buttons instead of touching the screen to cause the reaction…but yea thanx for being rude even though you did not understand what i meant…
another lying 10 year old who thinks hes an extreme hacker just because he flashed his psp
i have a touch screen to. but then the screen gets too smudgy and i dont like that, so i let it be
Cool, but I don’t know why I’d need it though. Unless a full DS emulator is released.
Currently I think there is only a ‘DS homebrew’ emulator for the PSP. If I’m wrong, post a link. I got a a few DS roms I’d love on the PSP.
just get a DS. It’s much simpler that way
wasnt there a similar post a month or so back? cant remember, but this is sick!
yea it was this:

Really the only reason I would like a touch screen is so I could use a full qwerty keyboard in the web browser. I would also like a DS emulator, but by the time they get that working the PSP will be obsolete…
yo there is a full qwerty keyboard already on the new 5.00 m33 update just hti select when the keypad comes up and ur good to go
useless
you are useless
guys youtube is down:{
uh …no its not
Freaking awesome mod!!
Beat that, Sony.
look at the screen… does it rings a bell? it looks like a screen of a DS… the screen of a PSP is much more rectangular… and the buttons? PHOTOSHOP!
Did you even click the source link <_<.
am i the only one who sees the ipod touch homescreen button?
for those of you who don’t see it or belive me pen the link…
