Ultimate PSPTube v1.3 Released

greg | November 30, 2008

SofiyaCat to JK108 — it’s now the Ultimate PSPTube. Watch your favourite videos from the most popular video driven websites — all direct on your PlayStation Portable. JK108 has taken and enhanced SofiyaCat’s PSPTube by adding support for new sites, as well introducing other various features.

Seeing as this would be the first time covering Ultimate PSPTube; instead of the 1.3 change log, listed are the supported video sites: CrunchyRoll, Dailymotion, Google Video, Guba, LiveLeak, MetaCafe, MuchoSucko, MySpace Videos, MyVideo, NothingToxic, Pornhub, Shufuni, TNAFlix, Tube8, Tudou, VBox7, Veoh, Wanktube, XVideos, YouTube, and YouTubeHQ.

You’re also given the option to remove and/or reorder the sites; you know, just in case… All that and more detailed in “Readme.txt.”

Lockdown In-Game v2.0 Released

greg | November 28, 2008

From the author of Hold+ is another plug-in bound to serve a useful purpose… Enter Torch’s Lockdown In-Game.

“Lockdown In-Game” prevents your siblings and/or other human annoyances from messing with your game while in its suspended state. Lets just hope whoever doesn’t have the PSP know-how when it comes to switching the device completely off; then you’re screwed.

Lockdown In-Game Screenshot

Lockdown In-Game v2.0 changes:

  • Greatly improved suspend/resume method.
  • Should be compatible with all games now. (Any problems with suspend/resume are probably due to the No-UMD driver that you have selected)
  • You can suspend the PSP again in the password screen without entering a password using the Power switch.

Powernoid V2 Released: Breakout Clone

greg | November 27, 2008

I’ve spent and still spend countless hours playing the arcade classic known as Super Breakout. So when I saw Art coded up a Breakout clone in a mere 2 days time, I nearly… Well, I’ll leave that to your imagination ‘cuz I got nothing right now. All I have to say; while other Breakout homebrew clones do exist — Art, you deserve mad props for this one.

StrmnNrmn Returns & Joins the DaedalusX64 Project

greg | November 26, 2008

StrmnNrmn, whom you know as the original author of the Daedalus N64 emulator port, has returned to the scene with great regard for the new DaedalusX64 project. Well I shouldn’t say returned, he’s just been laying low limo tint rollin’ deep like the President… Yeah, he’s been busy.

Now as Kreationz reports via QJ: StrmnNrmn was and still is working on the Daedalus project. He’s been continuing his work on the original port, as well lending his expertise and insight to the other DaedalusX64 team members. Good lookin’ out.

And if you haven’t tried Daedalus and/or DaedalusX64 yet…

TA-088v3 Signing Hacked!

greg | November 24, 2008

Remember when Dark_AleX explained why a PSP equipped with the TA-088v3 motherboard couldn’t be hacked? Well, good news — apparently a hacker by the name of Brokencodes has indeed broken the code.

Released yesterday was a bit of somethin’ somethin’ that should generate the signature to resign the IPL and ultimately pass the pre-IPL hash process. In other terms: sit tight, soon you’ll be enjoying custom firmwares, 3rd party plug-ins, and homebrew galore.
