CPU-Modulator PRX v0.20 Released
greg | October 3, 2008
Shaping into an absolute must-have for your hacked hand-held is Lokiare with a minor update to his CPU-Modulator plug-in. Reap the benefits of preserving battery power by automatically increasing or decreasing the CPU clock speed based on current usage and load.
Quoting Lokiare –
In this release I’ve included the full range from 333mhz to 96mhz. This means it changes from 333 to 332 to 331 on down until it finds the “perfect” speed for running your programs. It changes speed less, and runs much smoother. When I get all the bugs out I will release the source code, so that anyone can include this in their homebrew projects.

This is one of the coolest homebrew aps that i have seen in a long time. i can’t wait for the 100% bug free version. Keep up the good work!
Why only 96mhz? That’s not much better than the default, what happens when you’re just using it as an mp3 player? This should allow the PSP to drop to 64mhz like some of the other plugins. It’s a good idea, though.
wats a logger and wen i browse my memory stick it goes really slow and i hav a lot of homebrew but i like this prx! hope u could fix that
From my understanding the PSP might say your at 331mhz but the clock speed really isn’t, there are only handful of speeds that actually allow true changes.
awesome plugin, it actualy was good enough for me to want to take the time to post
I am not responsible for anything this program does to anything you or any else owns.
In short “I am not responsible for anything anytime.”
yeah right motherfucker. u cant discount ur own liability. same shit as wearing a sign saying u cant blame me for what i do.
Your situation you compare with isn’t even on the right track. Once you download the plug-in it’s not his fault if your PSP gets fried, it’s yours.
Once you download his plug-in you take sole responsibility. The situation you compare with is not even close -.-
woot! thank you this is awsome.
Does this work as described? The PSP’s CPU can only run at a select handful of frequencies (333, 300, 222, 100, 66, etc.), otherwise it reverts to the default.
