greg | September 14, 2008

Turbo Grafx 16 As the weekend nears an end, ZX-81 nears complete and utter awesomeness with his NEC PC Engine port, or you may better know it as the dopest old school console ever, the TurboGrafx 16.

PSPHUGO v1.0.1 marks the initial release; thus, work still remains. You’ll likely experience slow downs or graphical glitches with certain roms. Rest assure — ZX will no doubt achieve complete awesomeness in future versions. Long live the TG-16!

Look at the existing Turbo Graphics 16 emulator already out for the PSP. I can see why this guy think it looks like shit. It would of been better to provide constructive criticism but it doesn’t look very good and I would look at the HuE for PSP 0.70 project for ideas.

So many emus for consoles i have never even heard of before.

Growing up, my game sources were always the mainstream consoles, like the master system or the snes.

Its nice to have the option of going back and playing all those games i missed out on as a kid.

Cheers.

Always wanted a PC-Engine, but since it wasn’t released in Europe by the time the Mega Drive / Genesis got released, I never had one, PC-Engine is game-wise possibly the most fun console of the late 80s – Try Mr Heli, Dragon Spirit, Dragon Sable, Devil’s Crush, Bonk/PC-Gengin 1-3, R-Type 1 + 2 and all these quirky / weird japanese games like kato & ken…

I wonder why he makes things that not only already exist, but are perfect anyways.

I wish he would work on something like N64… unless of course he’s working his way up to it.

Hu-go has never been ported to psp, and previous PCE engine emu ports work only on fw 15 ;)

He makes all the games and consoles that he KNOWS can run on the PSP.

N64 works on the PSP, but it runs like shit because the psp isn’t powerful enough. Thats the fact.

That isn’t true the N64 CPU was only 93.75Mhz and the Reality Co-CPU was only 62.5Mhz. While it may be tricky it is completely possible to emulate it on a 333Mhz. The N64 emulator for PSP that I tried ran most games fine except for Mario64 gets a little jumpy in levels. Mario Kart works perfectly and so did Mario Party. It just needs more development the PSP is powerful enough.

I still have my TG-16 from years and years ago. Few games that i love to play on the go at times. I use HuE also on the PSP and it does work well enough but i as well will give it a go. thx.

Yea HUE is what I use.. it works really well on 4.01 M33-2

Ive been using that since like 2005 when it came out.. It worked on 1.5 but it continued to work on higher firmwares without having to be updated ever.. Probably because it’s a user mode only app.

I think it even supports CD images.. although Ive never tried any.. but the option to select them is in the menu.

I could never get the CD images to work. Possible that I made a mistake somewhere, idk, but as of now, I’m ruling it as a no-go.

MagicEngine (PC) works great however especially with CD images. Might wanna give that a go if interested.

Thanks. Tried it w/ Raiden, Super Adventure Island & Double Dungeons. Works awesome

Oh and I’m working on the PS3. Will have a custom F/w (M33) for the ps3 by x-mas time.

is this supposed to be funny?

I don’t think impersonating DAX is funny at all.
